it's ARTWORK time!

Long story short, tomorrow is my thesis advisor's birthday.
so, I made this doodle for him.

Is it appropriate to give a professor this cute doodle?
it's kinda girly, but... I wish that he will appreciate this.

OK, my friends said that I'm good at remembering birthdays, and especially my fellow senators whose birthdays I always note. Ah, I also remember how I celebrated my lecturers' birthdays in my early years of college :')

Alhamdulillah. Thankful lvl: over 9000~

It's march. And it's a blessed march.
Lord, I thank You for every bless you give. Started on March 9th when I finally got a piece of my poem anthology. Well, having an 8-year process, I finally have written about 110 poems, and I decided to make it into a book!

finally.... Over the morning sky!

It was also on March 9th when I witness some of my friends having their graduation party. Yes, they graduate on their 7th semester....

As we go on, we remember all the times we had together
and as our life change, come whatever
we will still be friends forever :)

This joyous moment continues on the following day when one of those graduates, MeiMei, held a farewell party for us. She treated us lunch at Ayam Goreng Jogja :)

What's more, Citra also held a celebration in the other day :)
It's good to gather with my friends after being separated for months. I love them all, Lord. The best classmates I've ever had :)

it was a memorable night.
I can't believe time flies this fast. It feels like it was just yesterday
when we experienced troubles on arranging KRS for the first time,
when we discussed what specialization to take,
when we were still active in the students association...
and finally, here we come on the senior year and some of us have graduated earlier.
Friends, please keep this bond forever :)

I feel relieved to see my classmates, my close friends who love me for what I am and to respect me in any ways. Love you, guys....

A day after Citra's celebration, my mom's bestfriend celebrated her birthday and invited us to have a dinner in Gloria restaurant, which is famous of its noodles. I felt delighted to taste many kinds of superb cuisine served :)

And it was yesterday when one of my facebook friend who is a newly-wed, mbak Adhe, informed that she will have her honeymoon in Malang. FYI, mbak Adhe is from jambi and I've never been meeting her personally before. She and her husband, mas teguh, invited me and my other 2 seniors - mas Aniq and mas Erwin to have a dinner in Foodcourt matos. and, what's more, they treated us!!
Alhamdulillah, seems that this is also a part of their wedding celebration. I'm delighted with this :)
Glad to know and have them in my life. Glad to have a chance to meet a person that I used to interact virtually, in a real life.

God's bless does not come only in form of fun activities, but also on my... masterpiece-to-be. Hell yeah! My thesis!
deactivating my social media accounts does help. I finally finished my 1st chapter!!! (but with revisions, for sure....) and my advisor allowed me to keep on writing to the 2nd chapter.
Ah, my advisor is so encouraging :) Blessed to have him!!
I am really motivated to finish it and I believe that I can make it on time.

Besides that, One of my childhood mate, Vivi, contacted me. She asked me to do her a favor, which is designing a logo for her onlineshop.
Well, graphic design is not my field, and drawing is just a way to kill my time, but... there's nothing wrong to try new thing!
I'm glad to be reconnected with Vivi, I haven't met her for about 11 years!
and to chat with her, hearing many news about my old friends...
ah, miss them so much :)

This is a blessed march. Hopefully You will shower me with your blesses all life long, Allah....
I'm thankful for anything I have, should I ask for more?

I have nothing more to say but Alhamdulillahirrobbil alamin..... :)

account deactivated

well, dear...
thesis is a hard thing to deal with, I have to elaborate many theories about gender, jokes, and discourse analysis.
and it's not an easy thing to focus, since I'm easily distracted by social media.

hereby I announce that

I deactivate my facebook, twitter, and google+ account, and I will reactivate it when I'm ready
to have my thesis exam.
Bismillah, hope that it will make me focus
and finish my thesis on time!

A certainty has come = a struggle is officially started!

The English department has given the official announcement
for us, the senior students
something that will determine our future
something that will prove our ability, endurance, and strong willing.

something that is actually should not be feared of,
but to be welcomed in a high spirit.
(and to be done sincerely, too)

here it comes, something that I've been preparing during these months.

THE UNDERGRADUATE THESIS!!!

A DISCOURSE ANALYSIS ON SEXIST JOKES
ON 9GAG.COM

Advisor: Prof. Bambang Yudi Cahyono, M. Pd, M.A, Ph. D

I finally involve 9gag in my research!!!
YES I CAN DO IT!

I ensure myself that I can finish this thesis only in one semester!
I ensure myself that I can have my thesis examination on my 23rd birthday!!

BISMILLAH! I set my mind that way, and Allah will grant so!

Everyone reading this post definitely has to pray for me. I believe....

I AM THIS STRONG! I PROMISE!

Hi, dear.....
it was 2 weeks ago when I had a farewell party with one of the best lecturers I have, Bu Evi Eliyanah....
which one is the lecturer ?
She will depart to Oz to pursue her Ph.D.  Lord, what a bless YOU give for a bright and excellent lecturer like her...
I experienced being taught by her twice, on my Basic English Grammar and Critical Listening class. Well, FYI, my 21st birthday was celebrated on her class, hehe.

I learned many things from her, It's such a honor to be taught by her.

On the farewell party, we watched a documentary film about a prostitution in Trenggalek, and a discussion afterwards.
Finished with the discussion, Bu Evi continued with how the story relates with our life. And her tough life as well.
It was a very touching story, dear .....

and I remember her words exactly,

"You have to push yourself that hard. Get out from your comfort zone."

You know, dear...
Bu Evi cried when uttering those words, and so did we. It started with Sita who said, "Maam, we won't meet you again after this. We'll be missing you"....  Yes, Sita said it with tears. Then most of us couldn't hold our tears also....

I was very touched by her words. It was awakening me. Thanks, maam :)

Dear, to tell you the truth,
During these months, I got a problem - a big one. Perhaps it sounds silly for you - and for any other youths.

Dear, I'm in love.

And I'm in love with a guy who has a girlfriend already.

You can simply say "Ignore him! find another one!" if you hear me saying that, yes, I'm in love.
What's worse, for 22 years I live, this is the first time I fall in love with a guy - a guy I really meet in the real world and am interacting with.

I used to be a fan of my teacher - and what's worse, I was kinda exaggerating.
If my teacher were a member of JKT48, I am surely a wota of her. Yes, my affection to my teacher was in a Wota level. (hehe, I finally understand the term "WOTA" after being a fan of JKT48, lol). Many friends said that I care about her too much.

It is a mistake. I admit it. And I regret, now I have promised myself not to focus on her too much, I forget my longing feeling of being taught by her, and I let myself busy in my activities as an English Tutor, Senator, and a senior student.
Allah is kind, He gave me an object to distract me from my teacher, a very fabulous one. He's my friend in this university.

I didn't realize when my heart was brought by his wave and then drowned inside his ocean.
I didn't realize it at all, suddenly I feel hopeless inside his wave. I couldn't do anything but hoping. A wish I sing inside these tears. When I realized that I can't reach him although I have a very good interaction with him....

A friend said to me, "Ngie, you can't put your hopes on him. His heart is locked already"

You know how much that hurts. I believe that all of you know it better than me, dear... This is the first time for me to fall in love with a guy, and I haven't been in a relationship before.

I couldn't do anything but to let myself burst into tears.
And I keep on hoping for him but I can't get him. I can't make him mine...

It's very hard to kick this feeling out of my heart. Harder than anything. Harder than doing a thesis. Harder than doing 100 physics test items. When he's always around. Along with the melody played in my mind.

I can't stand of it.
It hurts indeed.

Now, after 22 years living in this world, I finally know how it feels to fall in love and got broken heart at the same time. I fell into ruins.  I simply have no passion to do anything.
In short, is it what-so-called depression?

A friend told me,
"Ngie, you are multi-talented. There are many things in front of you that can make you shine"

I try to distract myself from this affection. I dared myself to do so.
I tried to dare myself to do some things unusual that can refresh my feeling. And I tried to....

perform HEAVY ROTATION DANCE on sastra soultime 4!! hahaha...
believe me ? believe me? I Danced HEAVY ROTATION!

OK, I don't want to talk too much about that event. I danced poorly, you know.

The most important thing is the efforts I do for moving on. Yea, moving on is hard, I know.
I remember what Bu Evi said, that I have to push myself this hard, push myself from this affection....

I'm saying to myself,

I am this strong. I am this tough. God set me to be a fighter. Anxiety due to this affection should not make me fall down.
Although it's very hard, but I keep on fighting!!

Bismillah! Taiyou shita waratte, utare, odore, JIYUU NI!!

Another snapshot of HELL-iday...

Hi dear, this HELL-iday is kinda killing me, so monotonous, although I'm having my internship as a radio announcer, but - yeah , not having such kind of craziness with friends makes my life felt so dry....  thank God this HELL-iday will be finished soon!!! I'll start my class again on August 27th! can't wait can't wait can't waaaaaaiiiit......

Anyway, happy eid mubarak for everyone....

I can't stand of having a too-long day-off, therefore I went back to the studio earlier than my friends do... and I feel so delighted to have a halal-bi-halal with the other employers of RRI Malang, and to find out that there's a SNACK CORNER on the studio!

Alhamdulillah....

BTW, I'm going to start the class on monday with Belajar dan Pembelajaran class, and I join Sastra Indonesia's class. the fact is that I'm THE ONLY ENGLISH DEPARTMENT STUDENT in the class. bismillah ~

Lord, I love them all.....

I'm so happy to have you, so happy to love you...
Don't wanna live without your love, without your smile, cz I know
I love you....

I'm proud of being with them, to work with them on handling great events,
and struggling on facing obstacles.
I'm so proud to have this experience....

I know we are this great,
I know we are this strong,
I know we should be proud of this....

Too bad it will be only one year with you, guys. Everything passes so fast....

Let's work harder for the upcoming events, guys. Let's prove that we are the generation that should be proud of :)

I love our craziness, our strength, endurance, solidarity, and of being wise....
I can't have these experiences that makes us grow more mature without you

viva legislativa! hyuuuuk....

Tracing her steps

It was just yesterday when I posted with tears of joy for knowing a fact that Bu Rusna will go hajj....
and see what happened to me this morning...

Dear, I'm officially A DOUBLE DEGREE STUDENT and it is a requirement for me to take these basic pedagogical courses:

MKK401 Pengantar pendidikan
MKK402 Perkembangan peserta didik
MKK403 Belajar dan pembelajaran

Me and the other 8 Double degree-ers are supposed to take those 3 courses outside the faculty of Letters - since all the classes in Faculty of Letters are already set for the freshmen, the capacity is already full and we can't invade.
OK, the struggle starts. searching from one faculty to others, just to find some classes which still have enough capacity for us to join.
It was on a very hot afternoon when we walked along the campus area, entering the office of each faculty, until we finished on our final stop: FMIPA.

We finally found some classes with empty seats available for us to join. We yelled, "YEAH!"
and we directly arranged our schedule as well. I was kinda gasped seeing my new schedule - f*** yeah! I have only one class on Monday at 3.00-4.45 p.m, only one class on Tuesday 7.00-8.45 a.m (LORD, PLEASE WAKE ME UP AT 5!), and let's see the classes I have on Wednesday and Thursday: from the 1st period up to the 10th period (which means I start my class at 7.00 am and will go home at 5 pm!!!)

WHAT KIND OF SORCERY IS THIS???

Tuesday: only one class. Thursday: HEEEELLLLLLL.

the good news is: I WILL HAVE A DAY OFF ON FRIDAY!!!! hahahaha....
what a schedule, what a class, what a FMIPA... what a physics.... wait, WHAT?
Physics? it is! yes, those classes I take belongs to the students of Physics Pedagogy!
I will befriend with Physics students, then..... wait, WAIT!
it is physics, duuuuuude! PHYSICS!

You definitely have to tell her that you are joining a class in a major that she attended....

Dear ma'am, I am trailing your steps. I'm studying in Physics Department - although only for one universitary course: Perkembangan Peserta Didik. I can take some documentations of the classrooms on Physics Department building, and send the pictures 4u...
hopefully you will enjoy it before you depart, Maam :)

I'm trailing your steps and I'm proud :)

Sunday, August 12, 2012

Finally you're gonna depart, sir, maam....

It was on 2007 when I asked you this:
"ma'am, how can I reach your house? by taking MM public transportation?"
And you answered this:
"Take MM and drop by SD tingkat. then you go in. walk along and reach the second alleyway, turn left. walk along 100 metres and you'll find my home. the yellow one in front of the field"

It was on 2008 when I texted you this:
"Ma'am, I may be late, but it doesn't reduce my thankfulness to God, for your decision of wearing hijab! congrats, ma'am... I'm glad you've done what you are supposed to do as a muslimah. I love you!" and you said, "Thanks, dear".

It was on 2009 when I said this:
"Ma'am, my feeling said that somebody lives here. Are you pregnant?"
"Yes, I am"
"You are? Congrats!!"
"Sssh! don't talk too loud!"
"Ma'aam.... how many months have it been?"
"Six months"

It was on 2010 when I said this:
"Ma'am, I got 3,52 for my GPA"
"Waw, that's great. congrats"

It was on 2011 when I said this:
"Ma'am, will you tell your hubby that I feel guilty for him? Please tell him that I ask for apology"
"What have you done, Prith?"
"I talked about him behind his back - and I told a wrong fact. What's worse, I did this in my old blog"
"He will be away for a whole month. Going around java, you know"
"But please tell him I beg his pardon"
"I will"

It was on 2012 when I said this:
"Ma'am, look at this! I am the editor of this magazine"
"Great. May I keep this?"
"It's OK. We still have many in our office"

See? You can witness that - in fact, we're this close. A distance is made because of my hectic life as a junior student taking 11 classes. I feel so long with her - I admit it! I'm still trying to greet her once in a while, among all my duties....
I still remember her as an inspiration and as a motivator, somehow.

And, see what I found on her daughter's status update:

(I believe that it's for real, I know you, kid...)

What did I just read? A pilgrimage - you.... you will go? this year?
Alhamdulillah.....

I don't want to be overjoyed. I just want to thank HIM for this golden chance, for His endless bless....

All I can do is just praying for you. For everything best. To be succeed in this pilgrimage. May Allah accept your pilgrimage as a Haji Mabrur. Amiiiin.

Lord, please keep them safe. Grant all their prayers. Make them your loved ones, and bless them all along their life. I love them as always, Lord.

Back in 2009, I was such in a big worry, afraid of losing her. When she was about to give birth to her third baby. She was 40 at that time and I know it was kinda risky for giving birth. I was afraid of losing her. Many of my friends lost their moms when they were delivered.... I keep on praying, "Lord, please save her.... please save her, I want to see her shining again, bright as a star...."

and that's what HE gave, alhamdulillah.

This will be another time she goes through a 'risky phase' of life, and I indeed keep on praying for her.... not only for being kept save, but also going back home as a new, better person....

In this last days of Ramadhan, In this barokah time for praying, when a certainty has come....
I'm praying for you, sir, ma'am...

Finally you're gonna depart. Have a safe journey. And may Allah bless you with a haji mabrur.

Love you....

Sir, Maam, when you arrive there, please pray for me...
for my struggle to finish this study and to gain this 2 titles: S.S, and S.Pd :)

IN-TERN-SHIP!

I finally made up my mind,
following a friend's suggestion,
I'm having my Internship now....
in RRI!

AS A RADIO ANNOUNCER!

the studio...
My friend Racle reading a breaking news

My duty is to read breaking news and to host music request and English Channel program :)
well, I think I fall in love with broadcasting.....

When I was a junior High school student, I listened a lot to many radio stations segmented to youths. They were Kalimaya Bhaskara, ProML Fm (unfortunately this station has disbanded), Mfm, and Tritara Fm (this very station, if I'm not mistaken, has transformed itself into a christian religion-based radio). I was very active in sending messages to say hello to my friends or to request songs.

I imagined that being a radio announcer means having a very huge knowledge about the trending musics, exposed to many good musics - which means have a better knowledge about music and also the musicians. Also, a chance to interview the musicians, hehe.... :)

Being a radio announcer means not only training my speaking and rhetoric skill, but also how to keep up the good mood, not showing any anger or disappointment, and always speak in cheerful tone. I wonder how can they do that and I'm training myself to do so!

the microphone and headphone I use for reading breaking news

Having this internship makes me motivated to be a real, professional radio announcer in the future.
Although, in fact, I didn't involve myself in any kinds of broadcasting or rhetoric club in my university.
Hopefully, amin !

when the final projects are (almost) done.

ergh, am I being moody for updating this blog, dear? and everything in my mind is kinda random....

Dear, I only have one more final project to finish: Psycholinguistics. the test items are kinda psycho!! what kind of sorcery is this, I have to analyze two dangdut songs: Cinta Satu Malam and Mobil bergoyang - i know that the songs are erotic, they state the sexual contents explicitly. that's it. and the lecturer needs a loooong explanation? what?

and I also have to analyze a controversial nursery rhymes.
Add fuel to the flames,
Bite hands that feed you
Breathe down someone's neck
carrot-and-stick
drag your feet.

And I have to give a loooooooooong explanation? agaaain? what I know is only this one: that this  nursery rhymes teach a kid to do violence, and to become a rebellion. that's all. period. need more?

aaargh, it's the only final project left. C'moooon!!

another things that make me confused are about double degree registration, and about my internship. we didn't receive any info when is the period of the registration, even I tried to confirm to the central registration office, they DON'T know where the period is. Shameeee! I wanna register for the double degree. it is supposed to be on the end of the semester, but, heeey... no information attached on the information board, nor in the faculty's office....
About my internship, since I plan to have a class on 'semester pendek' and becoming the supervisor of freshmen orientation, I simply unable to leave my city, therefore I have to find an institution inside this city - and to be more exact, I finally choose an institution in my university.... this is, Central Indonesian Studies - Bahasa Indonesia bagi penutur asing! hopefully i will be accepted as a tutor of theirs.

ah, one more thing! that I just bought several pink things: a KOREAN notebook, pens, correction fluid, bedroom slippers, hello kitty folder, and a writing pad. kewl!

Monday, April 2, 2012

things that made me thankful today :) Alhamdulillah...

  1. Had a help from Sulthon to set up my netbook in order to make it connected to ESAC's hotspot. yes, now I'm able to use my google chrome for browsing the net in this public WiFi.
  2. Had a super absogoddamnlutely FANTASTIC Trends and Issues in Linguistics class. We invite Pak Effendi Kadarisman to teach us about Verbal Humor and Ethnopoetics. well, actually Pak Effendi is supposed to be our lecturer for this class, but, due to his ill health (he is suffering from uric acid) , he can't teach so many classes. therefore, for this class, he gives it to Bu Renzy. Pak Effendi gave us a very, very clear and complete explanation of verbal humor (along with the examples that made us laugh out loud), and he also demonstrates his ability in nembang when he explained ethnopoetics. we were totally AMAZED. we gave a big applause. I got many new things about ethnopoetics from him. He is very great! May Allah bless him...
  3. Had a great chat with my seniors. at first, I met mbak Rina, who finished her study only in 7 semesters (waw!) and now worked as a teacher in pandaan. Somehow, I have to set up my mind to believe that I won't be jobless, as long as I struggle and keep on praying. I also met mbak Ayin, now working as an assistant lecturer, she shared a lot of things about her 'trouble' students. About their 'poor' ability in catching the missing lyrics on song-listening activity. (anyway, Mbak Ayin uses Mocca's song, secret admirer, for the listening activity. yayaaay! I remember when I worked for Ar Rohmah Boarding School, I used Owl City's, Demi Lovato's, and Katy Perry's song as the listening material, hehe)
  4. I met my favorite lecturer, and greeted her. what made me delighted was that she replied me with a very friendly tone, in 'medhok' javanese accent that I usually use when I talk to my friends, and it made me feel that I am that close with her, as close as two bestfriends.
  5. When we consulted our slideshows for tomorrow's presentation to Pak Beye (hehe, we call him that way, he is our lecturer for Thesis Proposal Seminar), he said that my draft is good (haha... I include the screenshots of some renowned bloggers, such as Diana Rikasari and Tiananda Widyarini) and, guess what? in the end of the consultation, he gave a pack of Dendeng to my friend, Ines. he said that it's good for boarding house kids. Ines will fry those Dendengs and bring them to tomorrow's class, so that the whole class will enjoy it :)
  6. The Student Legislative board is about to order for our official blazer!!! yes, finally, we are going to have a uniform that makes us proud. We are one. United in this bond. The senators of Faculty of Letters. Viva Legislativa, Hyuuuuwk!
THANKS GOD, Your blesses made my day :) I am motivated to learn more about linguistics, and to pursue my dream to learn about Constructed Language for my master's degree overseas. amin.

Ballads of the thesis: part 2 (and a surprising new FB friend)

Ok, I’ve told you previously that I am going to conduct a research about grammatical errors made by indonesian bloggers on writing english blog posts. Many times I shared this topic to my seniors, and guess what did they say: this research will be kinda risky! It is quite difficult to determine if the author of those english-written blogs are really lack of english proficiency, didn’t pay attention to their English teachers, forgot the rules, or they are being informal – so that accuracy are not needed.
This is shameful. How if I trapped in those kind of confusions?

Anyway, next week will be my thesis proposal seminar. I have done quite a lot with this topic. and it seems that my theoretical framework is a kind of 'beating around the bush'. Well, is this my weakness on writing? that I can't be focused, and my ideas are still too general?

I realize that I have to have more discussion with my other friends and seniors who are more expert on this case, so that I can manage my ideas well and everything I write will be directed.
you know my style of writing, I sometimes repeat the same thing again and again, until I realize that the text that I worked on is a scientific one :(

bismillah, hopefully my thesis writing process goes well.

Now I gonna talk about my surprising FB friend. several weeks ago  I added some accounts appearing in 'People you May know' list. I add them without any specific purpose, purely just for collecting friends. do you know what happened next?

one of those new friends is with initial V.V.P. at first I didn't notice who she is until she started a chat with me.
V (her): Hi
A (me): Hi
V: Hey, Y U No reply?
Mbak, you're a college student, huh?
A: Hei, sorry for long reply,
yes, I am.
V: in what university do u study?
A: in UM, dik.
V: Ooh. My dad is a lecturer in UNMER. --> up to this utterance I feel kinda suspicious. perhaps, I KNOW who V is.
A: Ooo....
V: Mbak, you were a graduate of SMAN 9, huh?
A: Hey, how did you know?
Ah, I forgot I wrote it in my profile
V: Nooooo, I knew it from your teacher.
A: eh, WHO?? --> My suspicion grew bigger. perhaps, this is that-very-dik-V. i think i know this person.
V: It's a secret.
A: Come on! no SMAN 9 teacher whose name is "Secret"
V: try to remember. you know who.
A: hmmmm. (then I observed her profile deeper, and I looked at her photos)
Hey, I know you.
V: Heheheheh
A: So you have met me before? Mein Gott! it's a small world!
V: ahahaha.
A: say my hello to your mom, then.
V: What's the name of my mom, anyway?
A: Hey, who's the only teacher that I gave the cake to on her birthday?
V: Oh, mbak! you have my mom's photo on your album!

DEAR FRIENDS, THIS IS BU RUSNA'S DAUGHTER, AND I BEFRIEND WITH HER! her name is Vivian Fahmanissa, and she is a 5th grader. Up to now, I often have a chat with her, and I support her to keep on fighting on facing the mid term test. Good luck, Vivian! Allah with us.

don't know how to start. shame.

the hardest part of doing an assignment is not to think what the answers of those questions are, but to start it. to turn our laptop on, to click Ms Word and open the desired document. Well, it's so hard. I feel that my mouse cursor always directs to Google Chrome instead of Ms Word.

Physically, my laptop is 'good-looking', but it doesn't make me encourage to turn it on and work on my assignments. things that I do the most with my laptop are accessing my social networks (SIGH!), edit my photos or listen to songs.

Errrgh! it's kinda hard to start working on my assignments.

HELP ME....!!!

Welcoming the 6th semester

so, what do you do to gain enthusiasm and excitement to start a new semester?
me: buy pink things.

my pencilcase with pink stationaries

my phone strap, it costs IDR 7K, kinda too expensive, huhu

my binder note

my meal box bag

so, these are a few of the giftpapers I collect, to be  put in my wall as a decoration
P.S.: Well, blogger is kinda uncooperative, look at the pictures I upload, they're messed up :(

OK, tomorrow I'll start the 6th semester, with new courses that will increase (or kill?) my curiosity in linguistics. about development of language use in society. well, I realize that majoring linguistics is exactly the best choice, it is exciting, indeed... =)

2011 CALEIDOSCOPE

I wanna share to you my 2011 caleidoscope.... haha
finally I finished all the assignments and I feel relieved.... *jumping jumping like destiny's child

so... here they are

JANUARY 2011

the first time working for Student Executive Board, as a committee of Karnaval Sastra. I was appointed as the event-planning division for Malam berbintang lima, the celebration night of Karnaval Sastra. Also, in this january, for the first time, I was appointed as the captain of the class. It was on the critical reading class, taught by Bu Iroh who was pregnant at that time =). Well, starting on this January, I am officially an English LINGUISTICS student. it's because starting on the 4th semester, the courses we take determines the specialization we major. I took TEFL, it shows that I belong to linguistics.

FEBRUARY 2011

Is there something special on february? emmm.... not really. ah, yeah! the TEFL lecturer, Mr. Andi Muhtar gave me an assignment that required me to meet my English teacher when I was at SMANAWA! hoho, I came back to smanawa and interviewed my favorite English teacher Bu Intyas Yanuartanti.... waaaa, I found out that Bu Intyas knows Pak Andi muhtar :) having a teacher that graduates from the same university with me is such an interesting thing, I can share many things about the lecturers we have :)
Also, in this month, I befriend with a japanese student, Sayumi Mizuno. She is an AIESEC participant having a project in Malang, introducing Japanese culture to senior high school students. I'm glad to befriend with foreigners... :)

MARCH 2011

On march, the critical reading course ended. ENDED? yeah. due to the lecturer's pregnancy, and she was going to have the termination in April, therefore she decided to add 2 additional classes. Hey, what a hectic schedule, dude. During these 3 months I had 4 reading classes and we worked very hard. it feels like taking 26 credits. ahahaha! it was so hard, when finally this class finished, I yelled "YAAAAAAAAAAAYY, I'M TAKING 18 CREDITS NOW! THOSE 4 CREDITS FINALLY GONE!".

APRIL 2011

Officially becoming a SWINGING FRIENDS (Mocca's friendsclub). attending the meeting in MOG to prepare the gathering, and I met new nice friends. Dewi, Icha, Jono, Eva, Nungki, Wini, Alfi, Rosa, and many more.
I finally know how it feels to be a member of a fans club, to befriend with many people who have the same interest.
Also, on april, I got a nephew. Meet ISMAIL MUHAMMAD... he was born on April 16th, 2011 =). He is the second son of Bu Iroh and Pak Agung.... waaa, I feel so delighted to have this handsome nephew.

MAY 2011

becoming the coordinator of English 3D Wallchart competition for SMA student on Legato Anniversary is kinda hectic and stressing, but at last I feel relieved seeing the event was finally done successfully =)
I turned 21 on May 3rd. thanks God.. for being given a chance to live, to have a chance to learn....
On May 14th I met MOCCA, my favorite band, and I had a very good time with Swinging Friends.

JUNE 2011

My teeth's plumbing got broken. it INDEED hurt. It made me shout crazily inside my bedroom. therefore, I couldn't go anywhere.
Oh yeah, I also worked for Cerita Segala Rasa magazine and interviewed a senior lecturer, Bu Siu.

JULY 2011

On july 15th I had a music night with my friends at pak murdib's house. well pak murdib and his wife, bu arwijati, are both our lecturers... I love their classes so much. I sang Looking Through the Eyes of Love and Menanti Sebuah Jawaban. nice event =)
Most unforgettable day: July 25th. Had a lunch with big sist! we ate at Pizza Hut matos, then we went to hypermart, and had photobox shoot =) I LOVE THE PICSSSSSS!!
Not long after, my parents forced me to go to jember, accompanying my Aunt who was hospitalized because of her diabetes. I said, "SUUUUCCCKK!" I really wanted to be in campus, being a committee of OSPEK!

AUGUST 2011

Oh, SMANAWA's anniversary is absolutely not to be missed. I love that school very much, this emotional bond will never fade. Also, on this august, for the first time, I am expelled from my bedroom. My Aunt (whom I told u above, who suffers a diabetes) is finally treated in malang, after 1 month hospitalized in jember. Until this very second when I typed this post, auntie still stays in my home, and I don't know when will she go home. :-( T_T

SEPTEMBER 2011

Having a long holiday is so SUCK. believe me.
My Murabbi (mentor) interrogated me why did I never show up in Majelis dakwah sekolah's events, the halaqoh (Islamic Study forum), and I also disappeared in their FB group. I also behave as if I against them, by blaming them in my FB status as if they restrict me on expressing my narcissisms creativity.
Finally I said, "Well, somehow I am DIFFERENT with you all. you are way too shy to show yourselves. you don't want to show your photo in FB. you only want to sing only in female forums and afraid if there's a man hearing your voice. you avoid showing up in public. Different with me. Even I have a desire to be a model. I love lipsyncing and upload it in my FB. I love singing, accompanied by my friend playing guitar, and they are BOYS!. I love dancing. When Tani Maju, Jawaika, or any other bands perform on Sastra's events, I don't hesitate to come up in front of the stage with the crowd, and dance together, along with the music! I love being in a flash mob! while you expect me to be like you, and you forbid me to have these kind of activities!"

finally my murobbi said, "So I have understood it now. that you don't want to be with us"
I said, "It's up to you if you make such kind of conclusion"
then she said "OK, it means that now we're over, you're no longer in our halaqoh forum. rite?"
I said, "It's OK"

The conclusion is, I QUIT from that organization after being inactive for approximately one year. after working with them from 2008-mid 2010. I finally quit.

Dear, to be a religious person, I don't need a big headcover, skirts, socks, a forum where girls (ooops, Akhwats) and boys (ooops, ikhwans) are separated with curtain, a halaqoh forum, a must of hiding our photos hn FB, a must of singing only in female forums, the use of ana-antum-akhi-ukhti-afwan language, and many other stuffs I had when I joined that organization. What I learn when I work for Ormawa Sastra ir that we are free to express ourselves in many kinds of media, in the name of freedom of expression. I indeed do agree with this. I uphold the freedom of expression. Nothing's wrong with it. that's why I feel nothing wrong when I danced along with my friends on music nights held by BEM Fakultas Sastra.

Dear ukhti, I'm different :) if you think you can't go with it, it's OK. What's the meaning of happiness for you, have it your way.

OCTOBER 2011

Dear, being appointed as a fundraiser of English month 9 is somehow a SUCK. I hate having miss-communication with the sponsor who actually misunderstood the proposal and the MoU, but they blamed us. C*zz*! d*fici**te! c*gn*!
Also, I finally resigned from Ar Rohmah Putri. FREED.... FREEDDDDDDD....

NOVEMBER 2011

Finally finished the service period in Legato, with many sorts of memories..
I can't feel the time passed by, and finally I finish the beautiful 2 years.
Also, my junior high school teacher whom I call Mama, Bu Sugi, ask me to tutor her daughter for English subject. Yaay, finally I can earn some money to buy room decorations

DECEMBER 2011

Officially appointed as a senator :) I'm now the head of Prosperity Commission of Student Legislative board. my duty is to check the inventory of our office, and make the office into a homey place :)
Also, our CCU class held a CCU gathering where we had so much fun. Icha, a friend from the other CCU class, performed Tari Topeng. My classmate Renisya with her SBSquad performed korean dance. And, of course, me - as a Swinging Friends who is fond of Arina Mocca, performed TAP DANCE!
Finally, thanks God I had a chance to show my dancing skill.

Those are just a few of the stories I had back in 2011....

Resolutions? Why? I make resolutions not in every new year, but in every Birthday!
But I do hope that I can be more mature, not to blame every single thing so easy,
to be more calm on facing everything.
And, one more thing. should I say it now?
OK.
Dear, I want a... yeah, Boyfriend.
#huekbyooooor Angie talking about boyfriend? wait wait, she never reveals her love life in public place!

of course, because I've been single since the day when I born. I've never been in a relationship, u know.

and it somehow sometimes sucks. I admit it.

Well, actually I have so many hopes and wishes, cannot mention one by one.

Anyway, happy new year! hoping you have a blast all along 2012. let's prove that the doom's day won't be happened this year. it's just a HOAX, dear.... hahaha
Only Allah knows.. la haula walaa quwwata illa billah. one of thd sign of being faithful is to believe that the doom's day will come, and to believe that only God knows the D-day... ain't it?

the same daydream

dear, long  time not talking about my days.
first, I wanna share something, that the last 2 days were such an unforgettable moment for me. I attended the student conference for the committee of Ormawa Sastra. I finally can know the rules of conducting a court. I know how it feels to learn the AD/ART of our organization. Also, we, the senators finally arranged the committee of the student legislative board. it is very nice to befriend with you guys, the senators....

FERY, WILDAN, NURIL, ALFU, BITA, YOGI, GHANY, FENTI, IRMA, NIZAR, ANDRI, ZAIN

Hopefully we can make a great improvement for our faculty, our Ormawa, our Legislative Board. Viva La Vida  Legislativa!

and this is the second. in this 25th of december, my aunt finally finishes her foot treatment. all the rotten wounds on her foot finally dried. soon she will go back to jakarta. Alhamdulillah...
everything I think is all about a plan to redecorate my bedroom. can't wait to be brought back to the place I am supposed to belong to. well, next semester I start to think about my thesis, I need a huge amount of concentration, and it only can be gained in my bedroom. Please Allah grant my wishes... amin ya robbal alamin =)

The redecorating plan is currently making me thinking about the same daydream, everytime I drown myself in my mom's bed before sleeping: To stop the time for several hours. those several hours will be used to go to the mall, and take eeeeeeeeeeeeverything I want especially those pink things from teenage accessories station to decorate my room. to take a pink recorder flute in musical instruments store. to take pink spiral note book. to take many kinds of L-sized dresses. to take cute drinking bottles. pink computer mouse. happy house doormat. hello kitty bedroom slippers.transparent umbrellas. colorful teenager backpacks. watches. wallets. spectacles. EEEEEEEEEVERYTHING I WANT. but no one recognize the things I take. ahahaaa, criminal mind. but this is only a daydream. it is only an imagination and I believe it can't made into a reality, I don't wanna do it for real. I know it's a crime, dude.

well, somehow, several days ago I have relieved myself from the stressful final week with buying a new pink gift wrapping paper (hah! I always buy gift wrapping papers and I don't use them at all!), some cute pink stationaries, and a pink hand fan. bismillah, hopefully it can boost up my spirit to start a new semester next year.

anyway, merry christmas for you all who celebrate :) GBU and happy enjoying a quality time with your whole family with fruitcakes and cookies :)

Research Methods In Linguistics (RMLing)

Dear RMLing,
It was only a few meetings before the lecturer left us due to his sickness. (Pak Effendi Kadarisman, get better soon. Lord, fulfill his life with your endless love). And this is almost the end of the semester, the final week is about to come. Final projects are waiting to be killed.

Dear RMLing, your final project is quite catching my attention: THESIS TITLE!
Hey, thanks for reminding me that a student of the 5th semester is already supposed to think about thesis.

Emmm, actually, I have made a rough concept about my thesis since I was a sophomore. and i'm right now trying to realize it -everything on my mind- and elaborate it as a.... argh, I dunno what is this.

Hi, thesis.
next semester I gonna have Thesis Proposal seminar, huh?

*shakehand*

Dancing in the rain on this december

In this rainy december, while waiting for a certainty of my aunt to leave my home, I have made some preparation to welcome myself back in my bedroom.
My parents bought 2 packs of puzzle mats, they are pink and blue, oh how gorgeous --"
they use 6 pieces of it to be put under the praying mat, and the rest are to be put inside my room.
but, after my aunt leaves my home, for sure.
I also have bought several new pink giftpapers to be attached on my wall.
WHOAAA.... CAN'T WAIT TO HAVE MY ROOM BACK

The point is, when my aunt leaves, I will clean my bedroom totally. throw away the waterproof mat laid in my bed during the time my aunt stays in my room. THIS IS ALREADY DECEMBER! AUNT WILL LEAVE SOON! FREAK YEAAAAAAAH!!

this december, I will have my freakin' final week, the CCU gathering that perhaps costs much, the Legato committee dismission (yeah we finally finish our year officially, for the next head of legato has been elected. Meet BAYU ILHAM PRIBADI, the next head of legato. and all hail to the next head of Student Executive board, GEBBY MAULANSYAH). I will also have some fun activities with the Legatoers. Also, I have made up my mind and finally decided to continue my career in student organizations of Faculty of letters, in the Student LEGISLATIVE board a.k.a DMF (not executive! hahah). I'm a senator-to-be (whuuuuiiiikkk..... what a hyperbolic language... senator? err, yeah, that's the way we are called)

well, it's kinda weird for me after being accustomed for 2 and a half years having a headquarter as a place to go home to, a place to take a nap and is dominating my daily life.... that's one of maaany reasons for me to continue my career in ormawa. well, after thinking very long, the activities that BEM have is somehow similar with legato's activities. But the pressure is higher. yeah, I have experienced it. twice working for CSR Magazine and also karnaval sastra. well, kinda too complicated for me.

hell yeah! also, I'm planning to take a DOUBLE DEGREE program next semester!
emmm, the first time I heard this phrase, I feel that - yeah, I have to add one more year ahead to finish my study. more subjects to take. more responsibility. One more title.

Pritha Anggiarima, S.S, S.Pd!

I'm taking English Linguistics and Education! I have a legalization to teach!! mukya gyaboooo~
the most important thing is that I want to be placed in SMANAWA on my teaching internship.
kinda wanna kiss the pain away as what Hollywood nobody said,,, errrr yeah!

hey, is it december 8th? so january ninth is only one month left?
Ah, hell! I haven't prepared anything! January 9th is still being the day I've been waiting for since the last 5 years. What am I going to give? a scrapbook again? but, oh! I don't have a place to work on it!
A stop motion video? well, my laptop is being uncooperative.
A dress? I don't know her size. hei, is she as plump as me? No. also, she's way shorter than I am, for sure.
And I don't know for sure what her style exactly is.

Emmm, I forgot one thing. that Smanawa is going to - again - hold a BUNKASAI! yeah, this is the 4th bunkasai held.

Yeah, finally got a chance to explore my style on the way of dressing up! can't waitttt!!!
