Finally you're gonna depart, sir, maam....

It was on 2007 when I asked you this:
"ma'am, how can I reach your house? by taking MM public transportation?"
And you answered this:
"Take MM and drop by SD tingkat. then you go in. walk along and reach the second alleyway, turn left. walk along 100 metres and you'll find my home. the yellow one in front of the field"

It was on 2008 when I texted you this:
"Ma'am, I may be late, but it doesn't reduce my thankfulness to God, for your decision of wearing hijab! congrats, ma'am... I'm glad you've done what you are supposed to do as a muslimah. I love you!" and you said, "Thanks, dear".

It was on 2009 when I said this:
"Ma'am, my feeling said that somebody lives here. Are you pregnant?"
"Yes, I am"
"You are? Congrats!!"
"Sssh! don't talk too loud!"
"Ma'aam.... how many months have it been?"
"Six months"

It was on 2010 when I said this:
"Ma'am, I got 3,52 for my GPA"
"Waw, that's great. congrats"

It was on 2011 when I said this:
"Ma'am, will you tell your hubby that I feel guilty for him? Please tell him that I ask for apology"
"What have you done, Prith?"
"I talked about him behind his back - and I told a wrong fact. What's worse, I did this in my old blog"
"He will be away for a whole month. Going around java, you know"
"But please tell him I beg his pardon"
"I will"

It was on 2012 when I said this:
"Ma'am, look at this! I am the editor of this magazine"
"Great. May I keep this?"
"It's OK. We still have many in our office"

See? You can witness that - in fact, we're this close. A distance is made because of my hectic life as a junior student taking 11 classes. I feel so long with her - I admit it! I'm still trying to greet her once in a while, among all my duties....
I still remember her as an inspiration and as a motivator, somehow.

And, see what I found on her daughter's status update:

(I believe that it's for real, I know you, kid...)

What did I just read? A pilgrimage - you.... you will go? this year?
Alhamdulillah.....

I don't want to be overjoyed. I just want to thank HIM for this golden chance, for His endless bless....

All I can do is just praying for you. For everything best. To be succeed in this pilgrimage. May Allah accept your pilgrimage as a Haji Mabrur. Amiiiin.

Lord, please keep them safe. Grant all their prayers. Make them your loved ones, and bless them all along their life. I love them as always, Lord.

Back in 2009, I was such in a big worry, afraid of losing her. When she was about to give birth to her third baby. She was 40 at that time and I know it was kinda risky for giving birth. I was afraid of losing her. Many of my friends lost their moms when they were delivered.... I keep on praying, "Lord, please save her.... please save her, I want to see her shining again, bright as a star...."

and that's what HE gave, alhamdulillah.

This will be another time she goes through a 'risky phase' of life, and I indeed keep on praying for her.... not only for being kept save, but also going back home as a new, better person....

In this last days of Ramadhan, In this barokah time for praying, when a certainty has come....
I'm praying for you, sir, ma'am...

Finally you're gonna depart. Have a safe journey. And may Allah bless you with a haji mabrur.

Love you....

Sir, Maam, when you arrive there, please pray for me...
for my struggle to finish this study and to gain this 2 titles: S.S, and S.Pd :)

Went swimming with ussyong :)

Dear, do you know what was the last time I went swimming? it was when I was 18, and now I'm 22!!
When I vas 17, I joined a swimming club and learned frog-style swimming #eh, frog-style? is it the right term?
I WAS quite good and enabled to swim around the pool, even in the 1,50 m depth, I can deal with it. but, then, 4 years passed and I preferred my college life along with the activities I had with Legato, BEM, and now DMF, I simply completely ignore my swimming activity.

Actually, I once asked my classmates to go swimming together at the nearest and cheapest swimming pool - which is LEMBAH DIENG =D
but it's kinda hard to make them agree, not everyone loves swimming.

I decided to go swimming in Permata Jingga pool with Ussy, an old friend of mine. Ussy said that Irma, also our highschool mate, has a lot of free pass to enter the swimming pool. GREAT! then both of us went there by using Irma's freepass.

it was the first time for me visiting that place and I was kinda amazed. Hmmm, no wonder, permata jingga is an elite housing complex which residents are mostly rich, therefore the facilities are designed awesomely.

ok, blogger is being uncooperative - again!
shame, the picture is messed.

Next time , i wanna try other swimming pools in town, and hopefully in this holiday I can go swimming more often :)

Ballads of the thesis: part 2 (and a surprising new FB friend)

Ok, I’ve told you previously that I am going to conduct a research about grammatical errors made by indonesian bloggers on writing english blog posts. Many times I shared this topic to my seniors, and guess what did they say: this research will be kinda risky! It is quite difficult to determine if the author of those english-written blogs are really lack of english proficiency, didn’t pay attention to their English teachers, forgot the rules, or they are being informal – so that accuracy are not needed.
This is shameful. How if I trapped in those kind of confusions?

Anyway, next week will be my thesis proposal seminar. I have done quite a lot with this topic. and it seems that my theoretical framework is a kind of 'beating around the bush'. Well, is this my weakness on writing? that I can't be focused, and my ideas are still too general?

I realize that I have to have more discussion with my other friends and seniors who are more expert on this case, so that I can manage my ideas well and everything I write will be directed.
you know my style of writing, I sometimes repeat the same thing again and again, until I realize that the text that I worked on is a scientific one :(

bismillah, hopefully my thesis writing process goes well.

Now I gonna talk about my surprising FB friend. several weeks ago  I added some accounts appearing in 'People you May know' list. I add them without any specific purpose, purely just for collecting friends. do you know what happened next?

one of those new friends is with initial V.V.P. at first I didn't notice who she is until she started a chat with me.
V (her): Hi
A (me): Hi
V: Hey, Y U No reply?
Mbak, you're a college student, huh?
A: Hei, sorry for long reply,
yes, I am.
V: in what university do u study?
A: in UM, dik.
V: Ooh. My dad is a lecturer in UNMER. --> up to this utterance I feel kinda suspicious. perhaps, I KNOW who V is.
A: Ooo....
V: Mbak, you were a graduate of SMAN 9, huh?
A: Hey, how did you know?
Ah, I forgot I wrote it in my profile
V: Nooooo, I knew it from your teacher.
A: eh, WHO?? --> My suspicion grew bigger. perhaps, this is that-very-dik-V. i think i know this person.
V: It's a secret.
A: Come on! no SMAN 9 teacher whose name is "Secret"
V: try to remember. you know who.
A: hmmmm. (then I observed her profile deeper, and I looked at her photos)
Hey, I know you.
V: Heheheheh
A: So you have met me before? Mein Gott! it's a small world!
V: ahahaha.
A: say my hello to your mom, then.
V: What's the name of my mom, anyway?
A: Hey, who's the only teacher that I gave the cake to on her birthday?
V: Oh, mbak! you have my mom's photo on your album!

DEAR FRIENDS, THIS IS BU RUSNA'S DAUGHTER, AND I BEFRIEND WITH HER! her name is Vivian Fahmanissa, and she is a 5th grader. Up to now, I often have a chat with her, and I support her to keep on fighting on facing the mid term test. Good luck, Vivian! Allah with us.

Monday, January 9, 2012

I will never forget yesterday... and any other january 9th I had.

Dear, I love yesterday ... January 9th 2012.... a moment that I always wait everytime the calendar turns into a new year.

Happy birthday to my senior high school teacher, bu rusna....

this year I made her 3 packs of Dorayaki (I cooked them myself, hehe... I still have my cooking ability), and a stop-motion video I made by myself, packed in a self-made greeting card that looks like a children craft xD~
and it smells like a pack of fresh glue...

I phoned her at 6.00. am, saying happy birthday. She said, "Please, don't congratulate me at school". also, she seemed to be hectic cz she is about to leave for school. she also said that she will go to the campus (well, she studied in the same university with me) to legalize her teaching certificate. Hey, she will be on campus and I will be there too, cz that day i was going to meet a faculty officer to clarify the problems happened in my KRS).

Then, after going to the faculty, I walked to FMIPA and found out no queue on legalizing certificate. i also went to A3 building (the registration and administration center in my campus), and found out that she wasn't there. then I went to ormawa and spent hours talking with Rizal and Kustin, my mates. and finally, at 2. pm, I went to smanawa. I tried to stop her in the parking lot and gave her the gift, I couldn't find her motorcycle.
I finally met mbak Eka, a japanese teacher of theirs, and she asked me to drive her to a bus stop near UB to catch a public transportation. OK, so I went with her. After driving to a bus stop, I directly went to sawojajar. to her home :)

I arrived at sawojajar at (approximately) 3 pm. There, I didn't directly come to Bu Rusna's house, cz my feeling said: NO! I always follow my intuition, no matter what. Then I wandered around the area, letting myself lost, and finally found a wayout. Seeing new places that I haven't known before =D

after (probably) half an hour wandering the complex until my fuel decreased, I came to Bu Rusna's house and I saw her motorcycle. I concluded that she was already home. then I knocked her door.
"Assalamualaikuuuuuum!"
then her daughter came out, "yes, waalaikum salam."
"Dear, can I meet your mother?"
"She hasn't gone home yet"
"Oh, ok. I'll come back here later"

I conclude that she went out with Pak Kardi, by car. Again, I wandered that complex, from Jonge Road until I stopped in front of velodrome. then I came back to her house, and I found out that their car was already parked in their garage. SHE HAS FINALLY ARRIVED. I gasped. It was freezing cold and I didn't wear any jacket. Well, I feel that there's something wrong with my breathing. yes. I can feel my teeth shivering, and it was hard to me to breath. Well, my lung problem came out.

I knocked the door again. Thank God, she came out =)

I greeted her and said happy birthday. I gave her 2 kisses. she let me in, and as I walked inside, I saw fireflies in my eyes xD~. and I feel like I'm flying.
seems that I wanna re-create Mocca's song "butterflies in my tummy" into this one:

"I had fireflies flying round inside my eyes when I walked in...
I hear bell chimes ringing blown by wind of spring when I walked in...
Ooh this breathing problem came out again, makes me wanna sigh, makes me wanna drink my medicines...
oooh this breathing difficulty due to the weather, I just can't tell whether if I feel sick or better...
I had fireflies flying round inside my eyes when I walked in..."

I entered the house and sat down, then I said "Maaaaaaaaaam, wait wait.... It's hard for me to breathe. wait a minute."
after arranging my breath, I put out the gift and give it to her. She asked, "Hey, what are these?"
"Dorayakis. Self-cooked."
"When did you cooked it?"
"Yesterday"

I also gave her a CSR magazine, a magazine that I worked for. I saw her the article that I wrote.

We talked about maaaany things. about her enjoin in STK Asri kusuma (traditional dance club in my university) when she was attending college.
we talked about her thesis which was done only in 4 months
we talked about my teacher's children who were suffering from asthma
and many more.
I also met pak Kardi. I shouted "WOEY, PAK!!!" (Hey, sir!) and he friendlily said, "Woey, Prith!" and he shook my hand like the way my friends greet me.

overall, it is the first time after 3 years for me to came to this house. the last time I came there was when I was 19, and now I'm (almost) 22. It's been a long time.

Well, bu rusna - although she has aged up and her hairs start to turn grey - she still looks so beautiful. she still has the chinese exoticism - the main thing that makes her look outstanding. yeah, she is Chinese. and she's beautiful.

I feel relieved, after several time waiting, I can meet her again. and it happened yesterday, a day that I will never forget. Happy Birthday, Bu Rusna :)

2011 CALEIDOSCOPE

I wanna share to you my 2011 caleidoscope.... haha
finally I finished all the assignments and I feel relieved.... *jumping jumping like destiny's child

so... here they are

JANUARY 2011

the first time working for Student Executive Board, as a committee of Karnaval Sastra. I was appointed as the event-planning division for Malam berbintang lima, the celebration night of Karnaval Sastra. Also, in this january, for the first time, I was appointed as the captain of the class. It was on the critical reading class, taught by Bu Iroh who was pregnant at that time =). Well, starting on this January, I am officially an English LINGUISTICS student. it's because starting on the 4th semester, the courses we take determines the specialization we major. I took TEFL, it shows that I belong to linguistics.

FEBRUARY 2011

Is there something special on february? emmm.... not really. ah, yeah! the TEFL lecturer, Mr. Andi Muhtar gave me an assignment that required me to meet my English teacher when I was at SMANAWA! hoho, I came back to smanawa and interviewed my favorite English teacher Bu Intyas Yanuartanti.... waaaa, I found out that Bu Intyas knows Pak Andi muhtar :) having a teacher that graduates from the same university with me is such an interesting thing, I can share many things about the lecturers we have :)
Also, in this month, I befriend with a japanese student, Sayumi Mizuno. She is an AIESEC participant having a project in Malang, introducing Japanese culture to senior high school students. I'm glad to befriend with foreigners... :)

MARCH 2011

On march, the critical reading course ended. ENDED? yeah. due to the lecturer's pregnancy, and she was going to have the termination in April, therefore she decided to add 2 additional classes. Hey, what a hectic schedule, dude. During these 3 months I had 4 reading classes and we worked very hard. it feels like taking 26 credits. ahahaha! it was so hard, when finally this class finished, I yelled "YAAAAAAAAAAAYY, I'M TAKING 18 CREDITS NOW! THOSE 4 CREDITS FINALLY GONE!".

APRIL 2011

Officially becoming a SWINGING FRIENDS (Mocca's friendsclub). attending the meeting in MOG to prepare the gathering, and I met new nice friends. Dewi, Icha, Jono, Eva, Nungki, Wini, Alfi, Rosa, and many more.
I finally know how it feels to be a member of a fans club, to befriend with many people who have the same interest.
Also, on april, I got a nephew. Meet ISMAIL MUHAMMAD... he was born on April 16th, 2011 =). He is the second son of Bu Iroh and Pak Agung.... waaa, I feel so delighted to have this handsome nephew.

MAY 2011

becoming the coordinator of English 3D Wallchart competition for SMA student on Legato Anniversary is kinda hectic and stressing, but at last I feel relieved seeing the event was finally done successfully =)
I turned 21 on May 3rd. thanks God.. for being given a chance to live, to have a chance to learn....
On May 14th I met MOCCA, my favorite band, and I had a very good time with Swinging Friends.

JUNE 2011

My teeth's plumbing got broken. it INDEED hurt. It made me shout crazily inside my bedroom. therefore, I couldn't go anywhere.
Oh yeah, I also worked for Cerita Segala Rasa magazine and interviewed a senior lecturer, Bu Siu.

JULY 2011

On july 15th I had a music night with my friends at pak murdib's house. well pak murdib and his wife, bu arwijati, are both our lecturers... I love their classes so much. I sang Looking Through the Eyes of Love and Menanti Sebuah Jawaban. nice event =)
Most unforgettable day: July 25th. Had a lunch with big sist! we ate at Pizza Hut matos, then we went to hypermart, and had photobox shoot =) I LOVE THE PICSSSSSS!!
Not long after, my parents forced me to go to jember, accompanying my Aunt who was hospitalized because of her diabetes. I said, "SUUUUCCCKK!" I really wanted to be in campus, being a committee of OSPEK!

AUGUST 2011

Oh, SMANAWA's anniversary is absolutely not to be missed. I love that school very much, this emotional bond will never fade. Also, on this august, for the first time, I am expelled from my bedroom. My Aunt (whom I told u above, who suffers a diabetes) is finally treated in malang, after 1 month hospitalized in jember. Until this very second when I typed this post, auntie still stays in my home, and I don't know when will she go home. :-( T_T

SEPTEMBER 2011

Having a long holiday is so SUCK. believe me.
My Murabbi (mentor) interrogated me why did I never show up in Majelis dakwah sekolah's events, the halaqoh (Islamic Study forum), and I also disappeared in their FB group. I also behave as if I against them, by blaming them in my FB status as if they restrict me on expressing my narcissisms creativity.
Finally I said, "Well, somehow I am DIFFERENT with you all. you are way too shy to show yourselves. you don't want to show your photo in FB. you only want to sing only in female forums and afraid if there's a man hearing your voice. you avoid showing up in public. Different with me. Even I have a desire to be a model. I love lipsyncing and upload it in my FB. I love singing, accompanied by my friend playing guitar, and they are BOYS!. I love dancing. When Tani Maju, Jawaika, or any other bands perform on Sastra's events, I don't hesitate to come up in front of the stage with the crowd, and dance together, along with the music! I love being in a flash mob! while you expect me to be like you, and you forbid me to have these kind of activities!"

finally my murobbi said, "So I have understood it now. that you don't want to be with us"
I said, "It's up to you if you make such kind of conclusion"
then she said "OK, it means that now we're over, you're no longer in our halaqoh forum. rite?"
I said, "It's OK"

The conclusion is, I QUIT from that organization after being inactive for approximately one year. after working with them from 2008-mid 2010. I finally quit.

Dear, to be a religious person, I don't need a big headcover, skirts, socks, a forum where girls (ooops, Akhwats) and boys (ooops, ikhwans) are separated with curtain, a halaqoh forum, a must of hiding our photos hn FB, a must of singing only in female forums, the use of ana-antum-akhi-ukhti-afwan language, and many other stuffs I had when I joined that organization. What I learn when I work for Ormawa Sastra ir that we are free to express ourselves in many kinds of media, in the name of freedom of expression. I indeed do agree with this. I uphold the freedom of expression. Nothing's wrong with it. that's why I feel nothing wrong when I danced along with my friends on music nights held by BEM Fakultas Sastra.

Dear ukhti, I'm different :) if you think you can't go with it, it's OK. What's the meaning of happiness for you, have it your way.

OCTOBER 2011

Dear, being appointed as a fundraiser of English month 9 is somehow a SUCK. I hate having miss-communication with the sponsor who actually misunderstood the proposal and the MoU, but they blamed us. C*zz*! d*fici**te! c*gn*!
Also, I finally resigned from Ar Rohmah Putri. FREED.... FREEDDDDDDD....

NOVEMBER 2011

Finally finished the service period in Legato, with many sorts of memories..
I can't feel the time passed by, and finally I finish the beautiful 2 years.
Also, my junior high school teacher whom I call Mama, Bu Sugi, ask me to tutor her daughter for English subject. Yaay, finally I can earn some money to buy room decorations

DECEMBER 2011

Officially appointed as a senator :) I'm now the head of Prosperity Commission of Student Legislative board. my duty is to check the inventory of our office, and make the office into a homey place :)
Also, our CCU class held a CCU gathering where we had so much fun. Icha, a friend from the other CCU class, performed Tari Topeng. My classmate Renisya with her SBSquad performed korean dance. And, of course, me - as a Swinging Friends who is fond of Arina Mocca, performed TAP DANCE!
Finally, thanks God I had a chance to show my dancing skill.

Those are just a few of the stories I had back in 2011....

Resolutions? Why? I make resolutions not in every new year, but in every Birthday!
But I do hope that I can be more mature, not to blame every single thing so easy,
to be more calm on facing everything.
And, one more thing. should I say it now?
OK.
Dear, I want a... yeah, Boyfriend.
#huekbyooooor Angie talking about boyfriend? wait wait, she never reveals her love life in public place!

of course, because I've been single since the day when I born. I've never been in a relationship, u know.

and it somehow sometimes sucks. I admit it.

Well, actually I have so many hopes and wishes, cannot mention one by one.

Anyway, happy new year! hoping you have a blast all along 2012. let's prove that the doom's day won't be happened this year. it's just a HOAX, dear.... hahaha
Only Allah knows.. la haula walaa quwwata illa billah. one of thd sign of being faithful is to believe that the doom's day will come, and to believe that only God knows the D-day... ain't it?

PRAY FOR BU ALPHA

Dear, I just checked my facebook account and found a notification in SMANAWA's Alumni group. A wall post says that my Civic teacher, bu Alpha, is having a chronic sick....

screenshots of my friends' wall posts in a smanawa alumni group

bu alpha is the one who wears orange headcover

she got a cancer, dear. I don't want any bad things happened to her. she's one of the teachers that I love so much.

Bu Alpha always remembers all the birthday presents I gave either to her or to the other teachers. She still remembers how I led the class to sing along on her birthday. She still remembers the way I surprised her on her birthday back in 2007. she still remembers the day when I celebrated January 9th on 2008. That day, I just finished my final exams and I went to the teachers' office and gave Bu Rusna a big box wrapped in yellow gift paper. and I shouted happy birthday. Then Bu Alpha said, "Hei, prith! it will be nice if you take a bag of flour, soy sauce, water, and egg". hahahaa.... well she asked me to do tricks on her just like what my friends did on celebrating birthdays, haha. and several days later she asked me what did I gave to Bu Rusna. also, when my class advisor, bu Indy, celebrated her birthday 2 years ago (when I was still a student of Culinary), I came to smanawa bringing a bouquet of flower, and I met Bu Alpha. she asked "hey, why are you bringing flowers?" "It's bu indy's birthday, ma'am". not long after, bu alpha came to the office and congratulate her. all the teachers saw her and finally they sang along for Bu Indy. then I gave Bu Indy the flowers.

Well, bu Alpha always remembers all the teachers' birthday. that's what I love from her. a similar point of me and her.

Get well soon, bu alpha, the humorous teacher who always freshen the day up. never regret being taught by you. love, angie pritha - ex XII IPS 3.

Dancing in the rain on this december

In this rainy december, while waiting for a certainty of my aunt to leave my home, I have made some preparation to welcome myself back in my bedroom.
My parents bought 2 packs of puzzle mats, they are pink and blue, oh how gorgeous --"
they use 6 pieces of it to be put under the praying mat, and the rest are to be put inside my room.
but, after my aunt leaves my home, for sure.
I also have bought several new pink giftpapers to be attached on my wall.
WHOAAA.... CAN'T WAIT TO HAVE MY ROOM BACK

The point is, when my aunt leaves, I will clean my bedroom totally. throw away the waterproof mat laid in my bed during the time my aunt stays in my room. THIS IS ALREADY DECEMBER! AUNT WILL LEAVE SOON! FREAK YEAAAAAAAH!!

this december, I will have my freakin' final week, the CCU gathering that perhaps costs much, the Legato committee dismission (yeah we finally finish our year officially, for the next head of legato has been elected. Meet BAYU ILHAM PRIBADI, the next head of legato. and all hail to the next head of Student Executive board, GEBBY MAULANSYAH). I will also have some fun activities with the Legatoers. Also, I have made up my mind and finally decided to continue my career in student organizations of Faculty of letters, in the Student LEGISLATIVE board a.k.a DMF (not executive! hahah). I'm a senator-to-be (whuuuuiiiikkk..... what a hyperbolic language... senator? err, yeah, that's the way we are called)

well, it's kinda weird for me after being accustomed for 2 and a half years having a headquarter as a place to go home to, a place to take a nap and is dominating my daily life.... that's one of maaany reasons for me to continue my career in ormawa. well, after thinking very long, the activities that BEM have is somehow similar with legato's activities. But the pressure is higher. yeah, I have experienced it. twice working for CSR Magazine and also karnaval sastra. well, kinda too complicated for me.

hell yeah! also, I'm planning to take a DOUBLE DEGREE program next semester!
emmm, the first time I heard this phrase, I feel that - yeah, I have to add one more year ahead to finish my study. more subjects to take. more responsibility. One more title.

Pritha Anggiarima, S.S, S.Pd!

I'm taking English Linguistics and Education! I have a legalization to teach!! mukya gyaboooo~
the most important thing is that I want to be placed in SMANAWA on my teaching internship.
kinda wanna kiss the pain away as what Hollywood nobody said,,, errrr yeah!

hey, is it december 8th? so january ninth is only one month left?
Ah, hell! I haven't prepared anything! January 9th is still being the day I've been waiting for since the last 5 years. What am I going to give? a scrapbook again? but, oh! I don't have a place to work on it!
A stop motion video? well, my laptop is being uncooperative.
A dress? I don't know her size. hei, is she as plump as me? No. also, she's way shorter than I am, for sure.
And I don't know for sure what her style exactly is.

Emmm, I forgot one thing. that Smanawa is going to - again - hold a BUNKASAI! yeah, this is the 4th bunkasai held.

Yeah, finally got a chance to explore my style on the way of dressing up! can't waitttt!!!

life is indeed like a scrapbook

Dear, look at these pictures! this is the scrapbook I made last year, and this was THE FIRST SCRAPBOOK I MADE!
What do you say? Many friends said that it's cool, thanks Lord xD~
I spent half a day to make this...

NOW, WHAT IS THE RELATION BETWEEN SCRAPBOOK AND LIFE?

life is like a scrapbook. as what the Faculty of Letters said, "Cerita Segala Rasa".
on a scrapbook, many kinds of ornaments of a different colors, sizes, and shapes are attached together in a card. when those craps are scattered, they don't mean a thing, but when they collaborate as a decoration of a card, they will make the scrapbook looks stunning and impressive.
so is life. there are many things happened, either bitter and sweet, terrific and terrible, enjoyable and hurtful, plain and monotonous, we feel everything. Either you love or hate those days you faced, you will find that life is an excitement. Later, in the end of the year, try to write a caleidoscope, then we'll find out that we are blessed.

hahhahaa, hey, what am I talking about?
OK, start making a draft about the caleidoscope of 2011!
hahaha....

BTW, I just rearrange my sloppy wardrobe and realized that actually I have a lot of clothes, and they can be mix-and-matched. Great. go check those fashion blogs and ready to start monday with a style!

teachers day!

Well, today is teacher's day, everyone =)
wanna say heaps of thanks for all my teachers, you are leading me into a maturity.

I know that being a teacher is very, very hard, I have experienced it. And I wonder why I was so eager to be a teacher.

on swinging friends' blog, there's a post asking who the most impressive of ours is. And I'm... speechless.
well, I used to be a teacher lover, I'm very close with my teachers, it makes my friends wonder why. since I was in Elementary school, i've been becoming a teacher-lover, who've always been the first to inform the class that the teacher is going to celebrate his/her birthday.

let me begin with the favorite teacher I had back in 2000, when I was in elementary school, the late MI Jenderal Sudirman Malang (well, my school is already dismissed)

Meet bu Ufi Nuskhayati :)

She was and IS a multitalented teacher and knows how to handle the uncontrolled class. She is very, very interesting and makes the Bahasa Indonesia class she conducts so fun. She gave me a chance to express myself by the role plays she wrote. Then finally I discovered that I have an ability in acting. somehow I feel so long to act in a play, though...
thanks bu ufi for showing me that I'm talented. until now, I still have a strong willing to perform on stages, either to sing, dance, or act, no matter those akhwats will say, I want to perform.

3 years later I experienced my preteen phase. I was studying at SMPN 11 Malang at that time, when that life-changing moment happened.
I had a big quarrel with my family. my parents were almost divorced. I was so depressed. I was the victim of mom's fury and hatred towards dad. She blamed me for an unknown reason. She didn't understand me. therefore, the labile me cried and searched for a shoulder to cry on. unfortunately, my friends didn't gave me a proper solution. yeah - because their lifestyle is different with me. I live in a housing complex which residents are introvert. while them, they live in a village which neighbors are still their relative, and everytime a conflict happens, it turns into a gossip quickly spread all over the village. so, They can't solve my problems.
then I ran to my class advisor. She's Bu Sugi, a biology teacher.

I told her all the problems I have. I drowned in a deep cry. I hugged her. she gave me a love that i haven't had before, even from my mom. So, was I wrong for loving her?
For she had cured my pains that well, no wonder, I who was still 13 years old then considered her as a mom . And I told her, "I wish you were my mom, ma'am".
What do you think about that sentence? it sounds like joke or just a rhetorical question, ain't it? but the labile me took it seriously. I did wish that she was. She knew it, and so did my parents! she told about it when my parents took my report card.
You know what happened then. I was scolded. My parents' emotion exploded. they swore at me as if I am the most unthankful person on earth. again, I felt so damn depressed. I cried and tried to concentrate on my study, but I couldn't.
But later my parents realized that it was also their mistake. their 'war' caused me feel down, depressed and drown into a big disappointment. However, my parents still feel upset hearing me having a phone call with Bu Sugi and I had a very friendly conversation, moreover hearing the way I address her: Mom.
and their upset feeling when seeing me preparing for her birthday every november 30th.

But, still, she's my favorite. even until I'm a 12 grader and about to graduate, I'm still contacting her.
then college life brings me to a more hectic lifestyle. Spending my days from dawn to dusk doing my assignment-related things. since I am attending college, my life is much more busier, and simply I don't have much time to contact her. but, still, I'm loving her the same as I was back then.

Now, let's move to the SMA time. I was a teenager and a little bit more mature.
Then, the impressive teachers I had when I was in high school is, bu r... ARGH, hell yeah!
I guess you have already known her, I mentioned her name so many times in this blog. you know, I started this blog in 2008 when I was just graduated from SMA and my longing feeling on her was on its peak.

this is the design that I made myself of a mug that I gave her on her birthday last January.
It's not as gorgeous as the students of Visual Communication Design's work,
but I'm glad I have designed it.
(Nji, Y U NO Learning more about photoshop??)

OK, I don't want to talk too much about that-very-physics-teacher-which-is-the-first-hijab-wearing-chinese-that-i-know, and I don't want to tell you when her birthday is and what I have given to her.
not about her husband whom I was wrong on guessing his name (Ffffuuuuuuu.....). not about her third pregnancy she had back in 2008. No!!
not those stuffs that I have written so much in this blog. the point is, she is an integration of Chinese exoticism, Javanese modesty, and the charm of a Muslimah.
I'm NOT being racist! she herself ADMITS that she's chinese and she says that its OK to call her that way! I have witnessed some of my teachers calling her 'Cik', or 'Tacik'.
But I'm not allowed to do so. OK, I don't want to talk more things about her.

more favorite teachers in SMA, nji?

I have, of course.

meet bu Retno =) my Bahasa Indonesia teacher who loooooooooooooves my self-cooked foods! I-i-i-i-i-i become so tempted to COOK moreeeeeeeeeee. but - again, this hectic lifestyle as a legatoer and a part-time teacher requires me to be away from home from morning to dawn.
then, bu oris. Well, she has lived in Japan. I want to be like her someday. Japaaaaaaaaannnnn xD~
The weird fact about her is that she isn't able to eat with chopsticks although she has lived in Japan for several years. I once competed with her on eating a bowl of noodles and I WON! hahahaa, and the other teachers wondered why did Bu Oris is unable to eat with chopstick.
Dear, I miss the times when I competed with her...

The photoscape work I made back in 2009! hwaahaha..
many people are so keen on photoscape and I WAS one of them.

OK, that's a brief explanation of the teachers I love.

Now, let me talk about bu sugi - whom I loved like a daughter loving her mom.
Her daughter is now a 12 grader and her scores are poor. therefore, she needs me to tutor her daughter, Mega, for English subject. I said OK. who doesn't want to work for the people s/he loves?
then she said this "later I talked to mega that you will tutor her. I wanna make sure that you have changed, not the same Angie that used to be so spoiled to me. I wanna tell her that you are now more mature. You're still a teacher lover, huh? what are you doing to the teachers you love? still the same with me?"

I said, "No, mom. everything has change since I leave"

am I really-really that changed?

Well, I remember the last time I stuck at English Self Access Center bringing the design of Legato's T-shirt and showed it enthusiastically to my favorite lecturers. I really want them to have the same T-shirts with us.
I remember when I talked about the lecturers with my friends and tell them many trivial things about my lecturers. "Hey, Bu X joined this club, you know. Hey, Mr. Z talked about this news in his status. Hey, Bu T gains more weight when she does blablablabla. hey, Bu Y was a member of this blablabla."
My friends wondered why do I know those kind of things. they guess that I am that keen on those lecturers.
Hey, those things are posted in their FB, huh. Y U NO check their status updates?
some lecturers are active facebookers. and the most active facebooker is, Pak Arif Subiyanto, my favorite lecturer! I like him and am always commenting almost every of his status updates!! it helps me on developing my critical thinking. I admit it!
proud to have him, cz I'm also a facebook lover.
(well, I'm still a teacher-lover anyway, huhuhu)

I'm taking his 2 classes, journalism and translation 1, and.. Hey! he gives me an assignment that I actually have to work on!

OK. to cut the long story, here is the link of the kaskus thread talking about pak Arif, written by mbak Nine Febrie Novitasari, an English Department alumni. You'll find out why do many students love him, and so do I!

That's a brief information about my favorite teachers. it's already 2.am in the morning. the last one-third of the night, when God comes to grant all of our wishes...

Lord, I only wish a prosperity, health, and Your endless love to all my teachers who had opened my eyes to this world. I thank them for all these valuable things of life.
Lord, I have experienced it myself that being a teacher is very hard. If it is my path, show me the way how to deal with it.

IT'S 2.30 AM... ANGIE! Y U NO WORKING ON YOUR JOURNALISM ASSIGNMENT? FFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

SMANAWA's 18th anniversary

hi dear, it's not yet too late to post this. this is still august and it's still appropriate to post about smanawa's anniversary which came on august 14th, ain't it?
yeah. the celebration was held on august 15th due to august 14th was sunday.
the celebration was a little bit different with the former years, since this year's anniversary is on Ramadhan.
We used to have a hike (gerak jalan, in bahasa) around Permata Jingga area, continued with many fun games, and also gathering in the school hall with Tumpeng party. And all of them are held at noon. but not this year.

In the morning , the teachers had a competition of moving a bowlful of peanuts with.... CHOPSTICKS. so, they pick those nuts with chopsticks one by one. they had to do it quickly that the fastest would be the winner.
The students had Ketupat making competition, patrol competition and also Adzan reciting competition. Unfortunately I couldn't come cause I had classes.

In the dusk, we had a fast-breaking together in the schoolyard. it was tarted with a preach by Mr. Kamilun Muhtadin, a well-known preacher in Malang who was Smanawa's headmaster.
after the preach, when maghrib was about to come, the winner of petrol competition performed their action, they played percussion with dustbins, drums and bamboo kentongans.

continued by adzan reciting by the winner of adzan competition. sorry, no pic. We're supposed to answer every sentence of adzan, ain't we? that's why I didn't capture the muadzin.

After that, we had ta'jil (sweets as appetizer), continued with maghrib praying in Al Bannan mosque.

Well, i'm no longer smanawa's student, and I'm also not a teacher, but my teacher gave me a cup of fruit cocktail :)

after having a pray, the teachers had a dinner in their office. they asked me to join, but I was ashamed and I wasn't dare to involve in the teacher's group. Fortunately I have brought my own meal (well, the students are supposed to bring their own meals, so I decided to do the same with the students)
Here are the snapshots of the teachers' dinner

Dear SMANAWA, i'm still yours! hopefully next year the celebration will be merrier, and I will surely attend your events!

O My Lord, my brother is already a teenager. He's now an SMA student.

Seems that it was just yesterday when I still wore my blue and white uniform, queuing on SMAN 9 bringing the registration form and my UNAS scores, and waiting the result of PSB Online in internet cafe with my dad. But now, the blue-white uniform has been given to the orphans, and what's more, my senior high school diploma has been staying in my cupboard for 3 years.

Hi dear, it's been 6 years after I register myself on PSB Online, and now I have finished with the Senior Highschool years, and now I'm a junior student at college. now it's my brother's turn to step up on the higher phase of his life: being an SMA student.
He has graduated from his school, SMPN 5 Malang with good score. He has passed the worrying times of PSB Online, seeing his name eliminated from the most-favorited high school in town. Then finally Allah gives His decision, to put my brother in SMAN 8 Malang (smarihasta)

So, from now on, it will be easy for my brother to catch up with me or mom. Well, as Smarihasta is located near my university, it will be easy for him to meet me anytime he needs my help. also, as my mom's office is located across my university, he will also easy to meet my mom. just pass my campus through the veteran gate and take the semarang exit gate, ride for 1 minute and he'll arrive in my mom's office. hmm, let's see what will be happened next, then. He even hasn't start his MOS (new students orientation) yet.

Hmm, time passed me by and I can't deny.
somehow I feel so long with my high school years, when I learned how to ride a motorcycle for the first time, but I dared myself to go to sawojajar on my 17th birthday. I remembered when the first time I get interested with poems, and I was very productive writing more than 2 poems a week.

Now that I have to admit that I am not as productive as what I was.
I wondered why do I turned into this 'frozen' and it is sometimes hard for me to gain inspiration to write.

What has changed me, dear?

hoho, i'm not going to talk about that drastic change, i'm afraid that this post will be very long. hmm, there are some points in my past that has vapored as I grow up, but I considered them as the valuable ones and I want to get them back, but I don't know how to.

Well, this is a serious topic to be talked about and I don't think that reading my blog will be interesting with 'heavy' topics.
but I believe, I'm still the same Angie Pritha that you know, who is soooooo excited to talk about 'Mawar Gedhe' with the cliques: Ntoel, Asri, Ika, Muna, Ussi.
the same Angie who is dying for pink stationaries.

I'm still the same Angie, but I'm better and tougher, Insha Allah...

BTW, I just found my facebook friend updated this status:

Musibah bagi orang-orang yang meninggalkan shalat>shubuh:akan disiksa selama 60 tahun di neraka>dzuhur:dosanya seperti membunuh 1000 orang muslim>ashar:dosanya seperti orang yang meruntuhkan ka’bah>maghrib:dosanya seperti berzina dengan ibu/bapaknya>isya:Allah tidakmeridhai ia hidup dibumi dan didesak agar ia mencari bumi lain

Oh cr*p. Now that I can't remember how many times I skipped my prayers, and I don't know how to expiate my sins. How ?
well, this is a reminder for prayer-skippers.

smanawa HANDMADE show :))

After 3 years graduated from senior high school, I've been always waiting for smanawa's events that can gather the alumni, and one of them is : SMANAWA HANDMADE SHOW. this event is actually a part of Fine Arts subject's final assignment. Yeah - during they are studying Fine Arts as one of their subjects, they are required to make many handicrafts. They worked very hard - yeah, I've experienced it, being taught by Mr Heru Sutrisno and be given a lot of assignments of making so many handicrafts. Here are a short documentation of my junior's great work that makes me proud of them.

9 januari 2009 vs 21 desember 2010 ^^,)

*mungkin some of you uda perna denger cerita ini sebelumnya dariku, di blog atau in my previous notes*

aku membuatkan beliau kue tart untuk beliau, walau it took a very hard and tough process. The box was very heavy, and journey to sawojajar is very long, ada deh 7km. dan aku naik sepeda motor.

sesampainya aku disana, aku antusias bgt pengen ketemu bu rusna, karena aku sudah satu semester lulus dan ga pernah ketemu lagi sama bu rusna. secara bu rusna guru kesayanganku, dan aku bener2 kangen bgt sama beliau.

sesampainya disana, aku ketemu bu rusna, dan aku tercengang melihat perutnya bu rusna besar.

Akupun menanyakan kepada beliau...

"Ibu, kok firasat saya bilang disini ada penghuninya? ibu hamil ya?"

beliau pun menjawab "iya"

"Heh, ibu hamil...? SELAMAT BUUUU!!!!!!" *aku peluk beliau* "Berapa bulan bu?"

"6 bulan"

*cipika cipiki bu rusna*

that fact made me overjoyed, I was so delighted, and I was brought into an euphoria. aku bener2 seneng banget dan gak percaya kalo bu rusna hamil lagi.

As you have known, hamil di usia 40 tahun itu riskan. But finally, Bu Rusna delivered her baby safely on March 16th, 2009. She delivered her baby in normal way, not caesar surgery. Thank God... :)

that was about Bu Rusna's pregnancy, well she is my favorite teacher. Everything that makes her happy, I feel it too and I always pray for her.

Time passed by and I started a new life on August 2009. Aku resmi pindah ke sastra Inggris tanggal 1 Agustus 2009. Inilah jurusan yang bener2 aku inginkan, thank God. Walau acap kutemui kesulitan dalam pelajaran - since English is not my first language - but I enjoy my study. I have a lot of nice friends and I am taught by the best lecturers. dan akhirnya, silih berganti dosen-dosen mendidikku, aku akhirnya mendapatkan beberapa dosen favorit yang selalu membuatku semangat belajar.

aku pun jawab, "yah ga tau... lek misale hamil beneran ya alhamdulillah, nanti kalo melahirkan dibeliin prenagen!"

And guess what, kecurigaanku makin hari makin jadi. temen2ku saat kutanyain pun menjawab yang sama.

Aku: "He rek, deloken wetenge! deloken wetenge!"

Temen 1: "hamil a?"

Temen 2: "iyo koyoke...."

badannya bener2 semakin lebar. punggungnya keliatan berlipat2. perutnya semakin 'mancung'. O Lord! separuh hatiku berteriak memastikan bahwa, ya, dia hamil!

tapi aku ga berani ngeyakinin sebelum aku bertanya. akhirnya aku tanya ke temenku.

Aku: "He rek, misale awake dewe takok nang dosen "ma'am, ibu hamil a?" gitu, sopan gak sih?"

temenku: "sopo sih? bu *cantik* a? uu... wes jelas hamil iku.wes ketok, ga usah takok"

akhirnya seusai ujian, ketika beliau berjalan di taman gedung D, aku menghamilinya.. eh salah, menghampirinya ;-D

aku tanya. "Ma'am, aku mau punya adik ya?" kataku agak tersendat2 krn ndredek..

beliau menjawab "Iya!"

AH, REALLY! TERNYATA BENER BELIAU HAMIL!

akupun menjawab, "alhamdulillah..."

nang ndi ae toh yoooo aku iki...? sampek beliau bilang "Heh mosok sih??" pas aku bilang ke beliau kalo aku ga tau kalo beliau hamil...

Amin.

I love you Ma'am....

Petualangan bersama USSI

We shared a lot of things, moreover when I watched her video about her friend, tsubud. do you know?
I like it verrrry much, and I'm motivated to make video projects also.

"Jangan kebanyakan nge-drag nggi. Pasti hang. aku seeeering kayak gitu."

jyahahah.

Dan kemaren tanggal 18, dia giliran kerumahku. Ingin belajar masak SOP. chicken soup for the soul. gyarharhar, segitunya. guess what, ussi lupa bawa buncis.

HAYOOO.... NGGAK NGERTI YA? hahahaha....

lek nyensor lebay.. ancene hal memalukan lapo di ungkap gamblang? jyahahaaha... haaakk...haakk..... *watuk*

Aku, Bu Lia, Kelas Speaking, Dan identitas yang TERBONGKAR.

Selasa, 9 Februari 2010.

"I'm malang native. I live in Sukarno Hatta, 500 metres from Asia, LP3i and SMA 9..."

dan Bu Lia langsung menyahut, "Is SMA 9 your school?"
I answered "Yes!"
beliau nyaut lagi: "So you know my MOM?"

"Yes, i know your mom! she was my teacher!"
"Ok... what's your name....? *ngeliat absen* Pritha Anggiarima. OK, i'll tell her."

terus aku cerita. "I have been studying here since 2008. Mam, i was graduated in 2008. and on 2008 I was a student of culinary in technic faculty. So, what your mom knows about me is I am a student of culinary. She doesn't know that I'm your student."

Beliaupun menjawab "But she'll know. I'll tell her...!"
and she told the other students "My mom is a teacher in SMA 9 "

"Mam, tell your Mom!"

beliau menjawab, "Yes, I will!"

***

Aku: "Bu Mas...." (salim)
Bu Mas: "Hei. Kamu diajar anak saya ya?"
Aku: "Iya...."
Bu Mas: "Dia cerita..."

hyahahaa.... Selasa besok aku ada jamnya Bu Lia. let's see....

Doa Robithoh.

gara2 ndengerin lagu "Adagio in C minor" by yanni, aku jadi pengen nulis doa ini.

1. The Lembangcorrs
3. Mereka yang hatinya pernah kusakiti

Pernah seorang adek kelas ngubek-ubek Hpku melihat MP3nya. Katanya: “Kok Lagunya bahasa inggris semua seh?”
Aku njawab: “Aku nggak suka lagu Indonesia dik!”
Dia njawab: “Wah.... gak nasionalisme iki”
Rek, ukuran nasionalisme iku gak didelok tekok seneng lagu indonesia apa gak.
Tapi lho ancene lagu Indonesia yo ngono2 wae. Aku gak seneng band-band indonesia jaman saiki. Seng golongane vierra, D’nasib, ST12, Hello band, wali, peterpan, the virgin, triad, dkk.... gak seneng blas aku. Satu2nya band indonesia yang aku suka cuma MOCCA. Ambek sekali2 seneng souljah soale suarane vokalise PERSIS suarane bu rusna (sumpah aku gak goroh). Cz mocca beda dari yg laen, daaan... lagunya inggris kabeh.
Rek, aku ngerti, aku arek sastra, aku nggawe puisi yo wes akeh, aku wes ngerti lirik lagu iku yo iso dianggep puisi, tapi puisi kontemporer. Aku yo kepikiran rek ndadekno puisiku iku lagu utowo skenario drama. Wong hapeku iso nggawe ngrekam suara, yo tau kok aku nyobak ngelagokno puisi2ku, mesio tah nadane nyontoh lagu liyo... lek misale hasile elek tak delete. Aku yo tau rek, asal2 nyanyi nggawe nada ngawur tak rekam. Tapi hasile aku gak seneng. Terus tak delete.
rek... kapan yo aku iso nggae lagu tekok puisi2ku iku... *tang ting tung geje diatas elektone*. tapi lagune ojok koyok pop rock indonesia jaman saiki. aku seneng pop barat tahun 2000-an, cz iramanya ceria dan liriknya sopan dan mudah dihafal.
Tapi, kayaknya aku lebih senang puisiku dipentaskan....
wah wah.... saiki now playing ndek jet audio 'We Could Be In Love' by lea salonga ft brad kane. dulu jamane aku SMA klas 2 ndenger lagu ini di radio swasta, langsung jatuh cinta. padahal ni lagu jadul bgt lho. akhirnya susah bgt dpt info ni lagu judulnya apa, trus nggletek ae ndadakno onok ndek komputere bapak. hodaaah.... xD~
