Finally, they are gone!

Hi dear, long time no post :) OK, I feel so guilty to left this blog dried and spider webs are starting to hang around. In fact I experienced many interesting things....
to sum up, here are the lists.

1. I finally finished the teaching practice.

Gosh, I regret that I was not that good on being a teacher. Sometimes I utter bad words, I was also unfair on appointing my students to answer questions. The worksheets I made was too hard as well.

Thanks very much, SMPN 18 Malang. Thanks Bu Sri Winanti, my guiding teacher. The students of 7F, you are all incredible despite you are brutally uncontrollable. For my fellas of PPL Ceria, I love you all!

2. (almost) finished the thesis revision! aaaand the shocking news...

These PPL responsibilities really killed me until I was unable to work on the thesis revision. I finally made it, several days after finishing my PPL, I went to my examiners and finally my 2 examiners approved my thesis *yaaay!*. Next turn will be my advisor's to sign my thesis... hey I just met you and this is crazy, but here's my thesis, so sign it maybe...
I also started to write my article, and I also give the draft to my advisor....

Yes, my advisor did gave me the revision of the draft. But, when I was about to give the revised draft, I received a shocking news......

I woke up in the morning and I directly checked my phone. There were some messages unread on my WhatsApp. I read them and I was really shocked and said, "Innalillahi wa inna ilaihi rojiun..."
I ran to the kitchen and I told my mom,
"Buk, ibuk! Istrinya Pak Yudi meninggal buk!"
mom, Pak Yudi's wife passed away!

My advisor's wife passed away!
Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi roji'un.....

Rest in peace, ibu Uswatun Hasanah.... I never know you in person, but I know that there is a great, strong, and powerful woman standing behind a successful man. Pak Yudi, the best advisor ever, one of the greatest professor in this university, won't be this bright without you, Ma'am.

Mom said, "Ok, finish the housework quickly, then you can go to the funeral. I will give you some money, take the envelope from the drawer"
I directly rushed to the kitchen to wash all the dishes and picked up the washed clothes hanging on the clothesline, afterwards I informed my friends about this obituary. Finally I arranged to came to his house with my friend.
When I was there, I saw my advisor was still able to smile, he was very tough! He didn't cry a single tears. God, please shower Your love for my advisor and his family :')

So... there will be one-week mourning period for him, therefore I have to postpone submitting my draft. Okeh. Good things come for those who wait, nji...

of being unable to think without that color.

Weeks ago, when I performed my thesis exam, I put my drinking bottle, pencil case, file folder, and notebook aside to my laptop. As what you have predicted, all of the colors are pink.
I also gave my examiners a handout of my slides, and.... the background of my slides is pink. Yes, plain pink, no motifs. Also, I put them inside a folder...... a pink one.

The presentation went well and I my examiners asked me questions. We talked about the stereotypes implied on the images found on 9gag. Until finally one of the examiners said, "Look at these slides. These slides are also stereotyping!" she said that with holding my slides handout.
and I said, "But ma'am.... I don't mean to stereotype any gender, but I can't think without pink...."
and she said, "So do I. I can't think without purple. Well, look at all of her things. They are all pink!"

I smiled. Well, this beloved lecturer of mine admits that she loves purple. Since she is fashionable, I didn't know why I suddenly remember that I once downloaded this picture.....

And I'm imagining she wears this. OMG. Her beauty level will increase as 70%.

I PASSED THE THESIS EXAM!!!!

ALHAMDULILLAH, YA ALLAH!!
I PASSED THE THESIS EXAM!!!

left-right: Bu Miry, Bu Renzi, me, Pak Yudi

(OMG, why do I still have those JKT48 logos as my wallpaper?)

Thanks for the prayers, guys, I love you all.
Now, I still have some big things to do: revising this thesis, make an article based on it, and.... FINISH MY TEACHING PRACTICE.

And, it's still too early to get relieved, because...
I'm not yet allowed to graduate.
I still have 12 credits left to be taken.

GO ON! LIFE KEEPS ON TURNING!

Ballads of the final draft (and teaching practice :D)

Hi dear! long time no post. I have good news for you all,
Mm, I know it's kinda unimportant for most of you, but it means a lot for me.

1. My full-draft has finally finished and is approved by my advisor!! Yay lvl over 9000!!!

and here is my draft, ready to be submitted in the English Department's office

Starting from now, everything that I have to do is just waiting for your love  a certainty,
of when my thesis exam will be held.
And I keep on praying, may I have the best examiners...

2. Starting to have my TEACHING PRACTICE!!

this is what I've been waiting for since I begin this 9th semester. I had my micro-teaching on Ramadhan Holiday and now I'm practicing teaching English on SMPN 18 Malang!

I meet many new nice fellas from other faculties :D
I do love working with them and to help each other to be a good teacher.

Have you ever imagined seeing an Angie Pritha teaching English in a class? No? Have a look on these pics below.
Yes, this is me.

Well, the classes I teach are the 7th grade, they are still bringing the 'elementary school' aura and spirit, with their cuteness as well as naughty behaviors. Thank God I can handle them! Thank God I am given a super-extra-loud voice to control the class! I should have joined the student choir and be a soprano, lol.

Well, I found out that I love teaching. It is indeed an adventure and I want to experience more. Although I damn badly hate arranging the RPP, I hate making test items, I hate arranging the assessment and scoring. I only love delivering the materials and let them having fun by involving the names of their favorite superstars into the learning activities. I love to hear my students' laughter when I mention "Ahmad Dhani married Maia Estianty and they have three children: Al, El, Dul!"

Seems that my plans I made for my future is about to change. Between joining SM3T or pursue a Master's Degree. But, wait... I still want to be a radio announcer. I still want to study linguistics. The Sociolinguistics and Trends and Issues in Linguistics course I took back in 2011 made me fall deeper into linguistics.
Now that I can't decide. I still want them both!

Well, it's still the 1st week of teaching practice and I don't know what will happen next. Let me see if this affection and enthusiasm towards teaching still grow in my heart until the end of my teaching practice. I've just learning about ELT for 3 semesters, meanwhile I've learned linguistics for like 2 and a half years. My thesis deals with linguistics. Hmm, better let the time flow and experience will teach me what to decide.... yayyy.

STYE, I HATE YOU. PERIOD.

I know that it is a common illness to a human being's eye, but.... it HURTS so MUCH.

Everyone I met - either a friend, lecturer, and even STRANGERS are all asking,
"WHAT HAPPENED????"

This is what-so-called a stye or hordeolum. an eyelid infection. Aaaaah, I received many suggestions from my friends, seniors and lecturers on finding a reliever for this terrible ill. Either the traditional ones or by using ointments. I can't bear the itch. Also, when I do my prayers, everytime I perform sujud position, I always feel that my eye is going to jump out from its place aaaaargh >,<

Guys, please pray for me. I hate putting bandages on my eye. I hate holding this itch.

Anyway, my advisor gave me a good news. Yeah, I had a consultation with him, I'm seizing the chance to finish this thesis before his departure. Thank God, now I can work on the discussion part. I know that it - again - needs a long process. I have 15 data to discuss, I have to explain the stereotypes further and my advisor said that I need to have at least 2 references for each stereotypes. great, ain't? It means I have to browse aaaaaaaaaaaalllllllll the PDF files I copied from my friends. To search which ones will fit my topic. hope that it will be fast since my advisor gave me a deadline: NEXT FRIDAY. great! if I can finish the discussion that fast, therefore I can directly go to the Concluding Remarks chapter aaaaand it means I'm ready for the sacred THESIS EXAM.

IS IT THAT FAST? if I can make it, why not?
I asked him, "Sir, is it possible for me to have an exam earlier than the department's schedule, which is usually on November?"

and he answered something that blows my mind,

"wooooh, you are special."

I. AM. SPECIAL.

I mean, I will be treated special. To have my exam much earlier. AND I'M GOING TO MAKE IT THIS MONTH! SEPTEMBER!!!

bismillah, hope that I'll make it!!

Dear my honorable thesis advisor.....

It was on the first day of my 9th semester when I went to the English Department's office and I saw an announcement. It was about the approved thesis titles as well as the advisors. I directly browsed all the titles of my juniors and also of my fellow gelar ganda-ers. what makes me surprised is that... God, I'm the only one left who is advised by my proud advisor, Pak Yudi. I'm wondering why do there's no one on 2010 batch having him as the advisor. Well, that's just a slight curiosity that doesn't bother me at all.

Until Pak Yudi texted me this... well, it's not usual for receiving this...

"nji, how's your skripsi writing? please finish asap ya"

I replied, errr with my blank mind due to being shocked. "Ya sir, I've described 10 data out of 15..."

and... he replied THIS!!

NO.... NO.... NO.....
OH NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

GOSH! I feel like I'm being spanked with a tenshi no shippo!!  I feel like I'm being thrown from the peak of Burj Khalifa! I'm like a toilet paper being torn. NO. NO. NO. IT CAN'T BE LIKE THIS!!!

I directly replied, "I will sir... I willl...."
HOPELESS ADVISEE I AM.

I don't need a long time to finally check my file "CHAPTER III.doc" and I gasped seeing only 9 out of 15 data having been described. I directly work on them all day long until I finally finished 12 data! yes, 12 out of 15 have been described and now I'm as tired as JKT48 members having their 5-town concert, "Perkenalkan, nama kami JKT48".

gosh, I have to speed up, finishing the discussion within next week, and to finish the CONCLUDING REMARKS the following week..

but.. the requirements of having thesis exam is at least I have consulted my thesis for 8 times. While I've done a consultation only 4 times, it means I have to do 4 more.... CAN I ACHIEVE IT ANYWAY???

LORD, PLEASE SHOW YOUR PATH T_T

huhuhhhuuuuu.....
I don't want to be transferred to another advisor. I want to be with him and I wish that my thesis exam can be arranged before his departure, AMIIIIN.....

Am I still me?

I miss the times when I haven't known what Wotagei, Chant-mix, photopack, seifuku, gravure, theater schedules, oshimen, oshihen, waiting list ticket, bingo, verified email, and setlist are. Back then I wasn't in such an anxiety about pajama drive revival show - whether the non-mainstream members can be the frontliner or not.
When I was not that tempted to learn the choreography of Heavy rotation, aitakatta, river, and the newest one - Koisuru Fortune Cookie.
When I was not that tempted to own a seifuku.

I miss the times when we prepared for Mocca's performance, organizing the meet-and-greet. I miss the times when Arina Ephipania replied my tweets that often. To ask her whether tap dancing can help losing some weight.
I miss the times when I look around on my wardrobe to find a floral vintage dress that is similar with the one worn by Aprilia Apsari of WSATCC.
The vintage style brought by WSATCC encourages me to browse more about vintage fashion and photography, not long after, I fall into many fashion blogs, I love drowning inside weheartit.com.

I miss the times when I love making a cup of coffee in every dusk, just because Endah and Rhesa mentioned this on their lyrics: "Menikmati pagi sore dan malam, secangkir kopi panas, santai tanpa batas...".
It's much earlier before I know that Rica Leyona is a skillful barista.

I miss the times when Lee Ritenour, Earth Wind and Fire, Jamiroquai, and Dave Kozz accompanied me on finishing my assignments.

I miss the times when my friend cheered me and encouraged me to sing I remember. Also when I performed tap dance on CCU gathering.

Gosh, those times had passed already. And I keep on questioning whether I'm still the same me.....
Inside this chant mix, wotagei, photopack-trading, among those Wotas queuing on FX Sudirman F4.

I feel so far with my old self, my origin.

PS: I LOST MY 2 FLASH DRIVES!!! ANYONE CAN HELP? both of them are with pink straps!

Finally, a certainty, a settlement....

It was on June 26th when my classmates who finish their study on their 8th semester, (yes, the appropriate time for finishing a study) are finally having their Yudicium ceremony .....

I'm happy yet envious. I still have 22 credits to finish :')

NEXT YEAR WILL BE MY TURN!
ON MY TENTH SEMESTER!

Viva legislativa double degree-ers!!

A few hours after, when I was having my lunch with Endah, I received a text from my classmate, Tewe. She said,

"hey, the teaching practice settlement has been announced. Irul, you're in SMKN 12. Imam in SMPN 3. Fenny, Retchan, and Tewe are in SMPN 20. The rest, Angie, Icha, Dika and Muse are in SMPN 18. We will start our teaching practice on the second turn, on october 7th - november 16th.... ganbatte!!"

GOSH! SMPN 18 MALANG!!!
It's just a 10-minute drive from my home!!! It's located in Griyashanta and neighboring with my beloved (unfortunately dismissed) primary school.... Yeah! Finally, I'm settled in a nearby school.... with a nostalgic atmosphere since I spent my childhood on Griyashanta :) The primary school where I graduated from was MI Jenderal sudirman (MIJS). this school was finally dismissed due to some dispute cases :( I remember the principal was JAILED. And he is my favorite teacher.... :( After the case finished, finally the foundation who manages this school disbanded themselves, and it results to the dismiss of my primary school. Now, they have turned into SD INSAN AMANAH and seems that no one remembers that it used to be MIJS. Gosh, I still remember the toys seller who always stood by the school gate after the school bell rang and we prepared to go home.... And I ran there to search for Sailormoon pictures, paper dress-up toys, and or to buy a cup of milk. Ah, what a memory. When I fell into Westlife as an indication that I have initialized my puberty. Yes, I didn't fell into my male classmate or any other boy at school, but I fell into Westlife, and I didn't need a lot of time to be their die-hard fan. When my Oshi, Bryan McFadden, decided to graduate on 2004, I wasn't deciding to Oshihen. I finally felt hopeless and tried to find another musicians to love.

(wait, angie. why did you use the terms applied in Japanese Idol Groups i.e. graduate, oshi, oshihen when explaining a western boyband like westlife?)

I will love this phase very much !

Hope that my students will love me. And I explain the materials clearly as well. :)
Ah, I can't wait to wear the moment when I wear the seifuku for the first time. Along with the high heels that I designed myself.
But, the most important thing is, to really know and experience how it feels to be a teacher!
Bismillah. I'll do it!!

A little piece of heaven (don't be deceived or trolled!)

words can't tell how deep am I in love with this song...

hehe, what I mean with A little piece of heaven is Setapak Sriwedari, sriwedari means heaven, huh? I'm not talking about Avenged Sevenfold's, but this is Maliq & D'essentials'. don't be trolled...

(well, this has shown you that jazz is still in my heart. You may see me being attracted with JKT48, but, still - the best companion for me on doing my thesis is always jazz songs. I always come back to my origin. This song is everlasting!)

I don't know what to call this habit, but everytime I listen to my favorite song, I always imagined that the video clip talents are us, DMF48. I don't know why, but I do love this organization very much.... seems that I cannot stop talking about our craziness, moreover after we had our trip to papuma beach last weekend :)

I imagined that the whole members of DMF48 participating in the video clip of setapak sriwedari. Let me close my eyes this tight, and enjoy the black screen appearing in front of me, and everything started from the dark....

I saw a white room where a set of band equipment is prepared. and some of the members of DMF48 are the band players. Yeah, although I know that not all of you are good on playing instruments.

Zen, you are the drummer, and I know that you are the ultimate one. Nizar plays the piano keyboard, and you master it for real.
Who is the one that I am going to appoint as the guitarist? Fery I guess. Wait, this is just a delusional project, no matter what I say, they're just a fictional story... Also, I will appoint Wahyu as the bassist. Done with that, emm... hey, I also want to take part in this band. Since this song involves many flute sounds, therefore, I, a fan of Arina Ephipania, will be the flutist of this song!

the vocalists as well as the video clip talents of this song are the other members of DMF48.
The location of this video clip will be in a field which grasses are tall and yellow, and dandelions are growing everywhere. Well, it's kinda reminding me to Agnes Monica's MV for her song titled "rindu"....

I love this poetic lyrics, anyway. And I keep on depicting the delusion inside my mind...

Oogoe Diamond - covered by me

I'm running to chase the bus that starts leaving, I want to tell you something. That the fog has disappeared from my heart, and now I can see an important thing for me.
Although it is supposed to be easy to give you the answer,
but why did I let it go?
For me, to be my true self, I have to be honest regarding the feeling I have.

I love you, yes, I love you. Here I am, running as fast as I can
I love you, as always, I love you. And I yell it as strong as my voice can do
I love you, yes, I love you. Although it's hard for me to breath
I want you to listen to the yell of this diamond in me......

When I realized that something is missing, I feel uneasy and I can't bear it anymore
Now that all I can do is to turn my feelings into words
I'm wondering why do I keep on staring on the sky
Tears are filling my both eyes and I can't stop them flowing
This world where we leave on is fulfilled with a love to someone

I'm sure that I am, yes, I'm sure that I am, that I will never let you go again
I'm sure that I am, yes, I'm sure that I am, that we finally meet each other
I'm sure that I am, yes, I'm sure that I am, that I will make you happy afterwards
and I want you to listen to the yell of this diamond in me....

If you keep on hesitating, you won't be able to start anything
Declare your feelings for him, just be honest from now on
If you say something, there will be a light shining

I love you, yes, I love you. Here I am, running as fast as I can
I love you, as always, I love you. And I yell it as strong as my voice can do
I love you, yes, I love you. Although it's hard for me to breath
I want you to listen to the yell of this diamond in me......

Let's say it with bravery,
everything will stay the same if you don't do anything.
Don't hesitate, because love is the best word ever
love is the best word ever
love is the best word ever

Declare your love for him, be honest from now on!!!

Look at the shoes, dear! I designed them myself!

my shoes size is 41, therefore, it is really difficult for me to find a woman shoes that fits me.
and I decided to order it to a shoe-maker, and it fits :)

the number 9 (Nine)

what comes to my mind when I heard the number 9?

Public Senior High School 9, malang. My almamater.
January 9th, the birthday of my favorite high school teacher

9gag, my favorite site, and I observe it for the sake of my thesis.

several weeks ago I met my beloved secretary of the English Department

Le Me: "Ma'am,  I'm not going to graduate this semester, but I want to have the thesis exam this semester. Is there any submission deadline for those who are not going to graduate now?"
Her: "Hmm, it can be anytime, Ngie."
Le Me: "anytime?"
Her: "One thing for sure, the department will submit the final scores on May 17th-24th. if you want to have your thesis exam, let's say, on may 10th, therefore you have to submit your draft on may 3rd, which is your 23rd birthday next week.
Le Me: *jaw dropping* *Just realize about the final-scores-thingies* "Well, ma'am, In fact, I'm speeding on doing my thesis..."
Her: "Ngie, you're a double degree student. You still have 2 semesters to go. You don't need to speed that fast on doing your thesis. I'm afraid that it will affect the quality of your thesis. You'd better slow down and register yourself on the short-term semester"
Le Me: *melted like a candle* *still didn't believe when hearing the word "short-term semester"*

and it was several days ago when I was working with my thesis on the self-access center...
Le Me: *typing* *then suddenly I heard a footstep* *raising my head* *Oh, my advisor....*
"Hi, sir!"
Him: "Oh, you're hiding there. I thought there's no one here"
Le me: "No, I'm not hiding, sir. i'm sending this email...."
Him: "Oh."
Le me: "Sir, you know what? I'm afraid that I have to continue this thesis on the short-term semester"
Him: "You haven't finished your double degree program, rite?"
Le me: "Yes, sir. I still have 2 semesters to go"
Him: "It's OK then. you can have it next semester, along with your teaching practice"
Le me: *floating and hitting the roof*

I finally made up my mind and consider many things. Whether registering my thesis on the sort-term semester or on my 9th semester. And I finally decided that....

bismillah, I extend it. on the 9th semester.

YES. I. CAN. FINISH. THIS.

This conversation

The sub-quartet of DMF48. FB-an crew! FB-an stands for:
Fery Bita Angie Nuril...
(heah, I edit that photo in ALAY style, as if we were still teens)

I will always remember this funny conversation we had right after the senshuuraku of DMF48.

Nuril: "Damn all the certificates I received from the Indonesian Department Students' Association. They can't be used at all. they wrote my name wrong. It's M. Nuril Huda, Mohammad Nuril Huda, Muh. Nuril Huda.... Didn't I tell them that my official spelling is Much. Nuril Huda?"
Bita: "There are various ways to name a child "Muhammad", rite? that's why they wrote it wrong"
Angie: "Wait, nuril. the word "MUCH" in English means 'many', 'a lot'. your name means 'a lot of Nuril Hudas'. "
Fery: "Wakakakakakakakb48.... thank you very MUCH NURIL HUDA!"

Guys, I miss you so damn bad!
Will we realize our plan to have a trip
to Bandung?
come on, I want to watch MoccA!!!
they will go back to their hiatus very soon!!

Finally, my teaching practice outfit-to-be

Dear, I know that my teaching practice will be held next July. But, is it OK to prepare from now on?
In terms of outfits, I mean...
Well, I don't have a black skirt. As a matter of fact, I badly need it. If I'm going to have my thesis exam this semester (BIG AMIIIIIIIIIINNNNN......) I will need this black skirt also.
therefore, I bought two pieces of black skirt, both of them has the same cut.

and I don't want my skirts to be ordinary. Therefore....
I put these

f***ing golden buttons.....

and my skirt finally became like this:

hahahahahaaa .... This is not an extra-ordinary fashion revamping. Just wanna make it not plain.
Ok, I know, I know.... it reminds you to this costume, right??

The good thing is, I also ordered to a tailor to make me the shirt with this style of collar......

Rica Leyona of JKT48

Yes, my shirt will be on this style. But the color of the ribbon will be black, to make it matched with the skirt, hehe.

And everyone will ask, "Angie, are you going to attend a cosplay, or to have a teaching practice?"
Or, "Angie, are you a teacher or a member of JKT48??"

Perhaps, my students will ask me this: "Miss, are you a fan of JKT48?"
"Is this teacher a wota?" (No, I don't want to be one!)

or there will be a conversation like this:

A: "Hey, did u see Ms. Angie, a practice teacher from UM?"
B: "Ms. Angie who?"
A: "The teacher who dresses like JKT48!"
B: "Oh, that girl. She is upstairs, teaching on XI IPS 1"

errr. and I will never give a f***, I will keep on wearing it as if....

Errr. I wonder if everyone will notice that this outfit is inspired by JKT48's seifuku. If they don't, it doesn't matter. If they do, I will not exaggerate that I am a fan of JKT48, I will keep calm and carry on :)

I (probably) can't

currently, this is my wallpaper.....

I found this picture on 9gag.
yeah, the very joke site that I observe as the object for my research.
and I add some motivational words...

I set my target: to have my thesis exam on my 23rd birthday.

it sounds silly, but I keep on believing....
I work quick on finishing this thesis. Right now I'm on the stage of data analyzing
I believe that I can make it on my birthday...
but...

the English department has just launched a hot recent news:
the thesis exam schedule.

Yes, dear. my friends who started working on their thesis in their 7th semester finally finished their thesis in this 8th semester. I checked those names....
Most of them were starting their thesis on their 7th semester.
And they are about to have their exam very soon.  Hiks. Hua. Huuu.
I checked the schedule. One thing that makes me surprised: On that-very-date-which-I-was-born-23-years-ago, the day is fully occupied for several friends having exams.

Damn. I can't probably make it on my birthday.

Hah. Perhaps it's a silly wish that I should let go huhu.

My beloved secretary of the department said that on the English department, thesis exam can be held anytime. It depends whether the board of examiners are available or not. Well, regarding to her statement, I finally conclude that although I finish my thesis on late April  I'm still able to have my thesis exam on my birthday. Sadly, the truth says no.

OK, whatever is it, I HAVE TO FINISH THIS MASTERPIECE THIS SEMESTER! I have an interesting topic, I have the best advisor ever.

Some reasons why don't I want to be a member of JKT48

(warning: this is an unimportant post! wakakakakakakb48)

1. I'm on my way to turn 23 years old.
2. I'm wearing a hijab.
3. I'm a senior student about to finish her study very soon
4. I don't want to be banned from dating
5. I'm overweight
6. I'm going to be a teacher very soon.
7. I dance poorly
8. I can't sing well
9. I don't want to live in jakarta
10. I don't want my private life being known by public
11. I do want to be loved, but I don't think being over-adored is good. Well, I have experiencing adoring my favorite teacher too much and she felt annoyed. What's worse, I did this for years.
12. I want to be a linguist.
13. Being a member of JKT48 means a limitation on using twitter. Well, as what I observed, everytime they tweet, they mostly say this: "Hai, udah makan?" "Lagi ngapain?" "Besok aku Theater" ewww...... seems that they never tweet any other topic, or are they forbidden to do so? can you imagine if a member of JKT48 tweeted this: "ndi @mashuriMAM @muse_encha @uchan_trueblue jarene kate kelompokan???"
14. Having a tight schedule and to spend every nights for rehearsal makes my thesis abandoned.
15. I still want to keep all my social media accounts and to keep in touch with my friends.
16. I want to concentrate on my thesis
17. The reason above is actually what I have to do now instead of posting this
18. I still want to eat cilok SMAN 8 very often
19. In fact, I don't know who are the members of AKB48. If I work as a member of JKT48, it means that I have to be a fan of AKB48 also, and to find an oshimen. Well, I'm not a japanese things enthusiast, even I know JKT48 firstly than AKB48, and  I don't want to be a wota.
when I was a teen, I was a wota of Westlife (heeey, westlife is an Irish boyband, why do I use the term 'wota'??) Yes, my affection for them was waaaaaaaay to big. I WAS!
20. I'm actually already a member of a(n UNofficial parody) group of 48 family, it is......

from discrimination to stereotypes

I miss my facebook and twitter as well.

but I have made such decision to deactivate all my social media accounts, and I do this on purpose.
for the sake of my thesis.

to make me be focused, indeed.

yesterday I had a consultation with my advisor.

Me: Sir, from the data I collected, all of them are exposing a gender stereotype, not a discrimination. is it OK to change my focus on gender stereotype?
My advisor: OK. No problem.

later, at home, when I checked my Chapter I file.... I found out that I have written like 11 pages, boasting about gender discrimination and I suddenly have a willing to change into gender stereotypes. I feel like taking a panadol with coca cola -_-"

argh, thesis writing is always and supposed to be hard. Tough.

The certainty =)

the official announcement from the English Department

it is written that the deadline of thesis draft submission is on April 6th. Hell, fu*k, yeah... huahahaaa.... emm.. err, but... this deadline only applies for those who are going to graduate this semester.
While I'm still have approximately 2 semesters to go.
So, I don't need to meet the deadline! It's OK for me if I reach my 5th chapter (conclusion and suggestion) on late april.
And I still wish the same thing: to have my oral defense on may 3rd. amiin....

My Youtube debut!

I'm NOT a good singer.
I don't know how to manage my voice.
I slip many tunes,
But I dared myself to do this.
to kill the boredom due to this THESIS WRITING!!

have a check, this time I sing Ten2five's song titled "I will fly"
this song was a hit back when I was a 9 grader.

I'll be glad if you are willing to appreciate:)

RANDOM: I fall in love with Topo Gigio, an Italian puppet show which was famous back in 1960s. My senior, mas Dany, is called "Topo Gigio" by his friends in capoeira. Then he showed me the picture of Topo Gigio in his phone, and I can't help myself to fall in love with this cute mouse! :)
Wish that I can have the copy of all its episodes as well as the dolls....

it's ARTWORK time!

Long story short, tomorrow is my thesis advisor's birthday.
so, I made this doodle for him.

Is it appropriate to give a professor this cute doodle?
it's kinda girly, but... I wish that he will appreciate this.

OK, my friends said that I'm good at remembering birthdays, and especially my fellow senators whose birthdays I always note. Ah, I also remember how I celebrated my lecturers' birthdays in my early years of college :')

Alhamdulillah. Thankful lvl: over 9000~

It's march. And it's a blessed march.
Lord, I thank You for every bless you give. Started on March 9th when I finally got a piece of my poem anthology. Well, having an 8-year process, I finally have written about 110 poems, and I decided to make it into a book!

finally.... Over the morning sky!

It was also on March 9th when I witness some of my friends having their graduation party. Yes, they graduate on their 7th semester....

As we go on, we remember all the times we had together
and as our life change, come whatever
we will still be friends forever :)

This joyous moment continues on the following day when one of those graduates, MeiMei, held a farewell party for us. She treated us lunch at Ayam Goreng Jogja :)

What's more, Citra also held a celebration in the other day :)
It's good to gather with my friends after being separated for months. I love them all, Lord. The best classmates I've ever had :)

it was a memorable night.
I can't believe time flies this fast. It feels like it was just yesterday
when we experienced troubles on arranging KRS for the first time,
when we discussed what specialization to take,
when we were still active in the students association...
and finally, here we come on the senior year and some of us have graduated earlier.
Friends, please keep this bond forever :)

I feel relieved to see my classmates, my close friends who love me for what I am and to respect me in any ways. Love you, guys....

A day after Citra's celebration, my mom's bestfriend celebrated her birthday and invited us to have a dinner in Gloria restaurant, which is famous of its noodles. I felt delighted to taste many kinds of superb cuisine served :)

And it was yesterday when one of my facebook friend who is a newly-wed, mbak Adhe, informed that she will have her honeymoon in Malang. FYI, mbak Adhe is from jambi and I've never been meeting her personally before. She and her husband, mas teguh, invited me and my other 2 seniors - mas Aniq and mas Erwin to have a dinner in Foodcourt matos. and, what's more, they treated us!!
Alhamdulillah, seems that this is also a part of their wedding celebration. I'm delighted with this :)
Glad to know and have them in my life. Glad to have a chance to meet a person that I used to interact virtually, in a real life.

God's bless does not come only in form of fun activities, but also on my... masterpiece-to-be. Hell yeah! My thesis!
deactivating my social media accounts does help. I finally finished my 1st chapter!!! (but with revisions, for sure....) and my advisor allowed me to keep on writing to the 2nd chapter.
Ah, my advisor is so encouraging :) Blessed to have him!!
I am really motivated to finish it and I believe that I can make it on time.

Besides that, One of my childhood mate, Vivi, contacted me. She asked me to do her a favor, which is designing a logo for her onlineshop.
Well, graphic design is not my field, and drawing is just a way to kill my time, but... there's nothing wrong to try new thing!
I'm glad to be reconnected with Vivi, I haven't met her for about 11 years!
and to chat with her, hearing many news about my old friends...
ah, miss them so much :)

This is a blessed march. Hopefully You will shower me with your blesses all life long, Allah....
I'm thankful for anything I have, should I ask for more?

I have nothing more to say but Alhamdulillahirrobbil alamin..... :)

account deactivated

well, dear...
thesis is a hard thing to deal with, I have to elaborate many theories about gender, jokes, and discourse analysis.
and it's not an easy thing to focus, since I'm easily distracted by social media.

hereby I announce that

I deactivate my facebook, twitter, and google+ account, and I will reactivate it when I'm ready
to have my thesis exam.
Bismillah, hope that it will make me focus
and finish my thesis on time!

Visualized, performed, then you understood

I imagine sasana budaya hall that we proud of, crowded by hundreds of people who want to witness the spectacular night, sparkled by the multi-talented Sastra students performing on Magenta Show - or one of a kind. We are about to perform the special performance, a collaboration between the 5 majors on the Faculty of letters: A multilingual theatrical performance! a collaboration of drama, poem recitation, dance, sing along, choir, happening art.....
And we also contribute on the performance as well.
On our part....
Slowly the light turns off. The big screen displays a sakura tree, with its flowers falling, blown by the wind. The intro of JKT48's song Boku No Sakura played. A blue lamp in the middle of the stage starts to be turned on. Slowly, I walk forward, to the front part of the stage. Wearing a beautiful blue yukata and big ribbon on my veil. Staring at the whole audience. Start singing the song....

"Memperbaiki garis putih di lapangan sekolah,
dibawah matahari aku berlari, hari-hari masa muda.....
Jalan milik kamu terbentang lurus dan terus memanjang
Angin yang sesaat bersama dengan debu, memori jauh disana...."

With all my heart feeling the lyrics. To let my emotion drowned inside the melody. I present this song for you. And I do hope you will listen....
Colorful lights shine all over the hall and one bright spotlight on the stage emphasizes that - yes, this feeling is this strong, dear.
The big screen displays the English and Arab translation of the song. Also, it displays a silhouette of a man having fairy wings, bringing a baton and waves his hands. Yes, he's a conductor.
As if he's leading me on singing this song.....

"Pada tujuan yang aku ingin, langit biru menunggu diriku
Mana yang lebih dulu memutuskan pita, bagaimanapun juga boleh...
Musim upacara kelulusan, di dalam dadaku angin bertiup....
Bunga sakura ini tercerai berai di tempat memikirkanmu."

Then it comes to the bridge part of the song. I raised my hand then take it down- yeah, that is the choreography of this very song. While raising my hand up and down, there are some girls coming to the stage from both sides. Wearing choir robe. Making a formation, and start singing along with me. Yeah, they are becoming my background vocals.

"Satu tujuan yang aku ingin, terus jalan walau tak akan sampai
Ditengah mimpi airmata mengalir, kuhapus dengan tangan ini....
Kakak kelas yang berlari didepan, menghantar bayangan yang panjang
Bunga sakura yang tertinggal pasti suatu hari kan berkelana dari ranting"

There comes the coda of the song. I move my hand over my head and bring it down on the microphone stand - again, this is the choreography of Boku No Sakura.
The music ends. Everyone cheered. then the light turns off.

I run to the backstage and burst into tears.
If only you know, I just visualize my situation, dear.....

A certainty has come = a struggle is officially started!

The English department has given the official announcement

something that is actually should not be feared of,
but to be welcomed in a high spirit.
(and to be done sincerely, too)

here it comes, something that I've been preparing during these months.

TRIP TO GOA CINA WITH MY FELLOW SENATORS

It was the first time for me to visit a beach – moreover, it’s a beach in the southern part of this island, where the tides are high and strong – with my friends, riding a motorcycle.

We went to GOA CINA beach, Kab. Malang.
It was indeed absogoddamnlutely a greeeeeeeeeeeeat, so much fun!!!

Pre-departure

We departed at 9.00 am. Zen was the navigator, for he knows the route.
It took us approximately 3 hours for the journey. During the journey, everything I saw was mostly green rice fields, blue sky, and chirpy birds cheering us, the happy 16 senators of DMF Sastra UM J

We arrived there after dhuhur time and we parked our motorcycle, then we gathered to have a meal.

Finished with the meal, we put our bags in a storage place, some of us changed clothes and…. It’s time for playing in the beach!!!

My happy shriek

We laid on the shore and let ourselves hit by the great tide. I was worried about being drowned, but I grabbed any friends beside me, thank God I’m saved. It was so much fun to feel the splash, to feel the salty sea water poured my face, to be hit by the tide, to feel the wind, to yell that loud….

Le Me being hit by the tide

Look! we had so much fun, rite?

It was almost 5 p.m when we finally finished playing on the beach and clean ourselves. GOSH! sands are everywhere, on my hair, on my ears, and even in the smallest hem on my trousers and in the pocket of my top. I needed a very hard effort to get rid of those damn sands, haha....

a snapshot taken before going home

I want to maintain this friendship, I want to keep this harmony.
I want us to stay strong, stronger than ever.
Lord, please bless this fraternity, strengthen our bond and make us
YOUR loved ones....

We finally started our journey to come back home when it was already dusk. Mbak Ulin drove my motorcycle. it took another 3 hours journey and I kept on praying, May Allah save us during this risky journey. You know, we went through hills with many loops and it was dark already.
At about 9.00 p.m, we finally arrived in Malang and stopped on a food stall to have supper.

finished with the supper, we finally went hooooome !
we were extremely exhausted, and we admit that we should clean ourselves again, many of us said that sands are still sticking everywhere.

It was a great fun, senators... thanks for the wonderful experience.
We should experience a great vacation like this again one day!!
Love y'all, senators!
